TheraSpecsOriginal WearOver Glasses for Light Sensitivity

Thank you TheraSpecs! God Bless the Engineers who designed this
Wow!! These things are a Haven for those with very low tolerance to sunlight. My cornea is extremely steep and can't stand any light anymore. Driving to work in the morning when the sun is up was almost impossible for me. I tried glasses of several tints, none of them ever actually helping me completely. Even the darkest tint was not effective as for photophobic patients, the specific wavelength needs to be blocked.Enter Thera specs!!!!! I put them on and WALAAAA! I couldn't be happier. The significant relief I immediately felt with these is indescribable. They did the job. I can now drive to work easily, no matter how intense the sun is. I can walk around in the open on extremely hot days with no discomfort. As one reviewer wrote, these things are a GODSEND for photophobic patients. If you have the following:Migraine?keratoconus ?Any corneal deformation resulting in light intolerance? Then you probably have Photophobia. And you are perfect candidate for Theraspecs.Oh and BTW, the indoor ones are equally effective.!!!!! Rock on Photophobic people!BTW they have crystal Clear vision, give absolute comfort, are light weight and most importantly, provide complete protection from sun light.Totally worth the $100+ price. I would buy another pair in a heartbeat.

Comfortable and adjustable
I can't speak to the health benefits of these quite yet - I have illusory palinopsia, auras without migraines, occasional artifacts in my vision, and will have to test these for the next month before I can comment on whether or not they help in my case, but they are comfortable, cover my peripheral vision, and I feel better wearing them already! For anyone who feels these are too big, I would suggest they go to the adjustment webpage at: theraspecs.com/adjust and select "Original WearOver." They were quite wide on me and I managed to bend them into a comfortable, snug shape.

Gives your brain a break from light !
These have been my Go To glasses for a decade. They ease the symptom of light sensitivity from Migraines, Post-Concussion Syndrome, etc. There are 2 shades of protection.I use the darker sunglasses one ALL year, EVERY time I go outside in daylight. Yes, I drive with them (Couldn’t do it otherwise). The lighter shades I use inside my house and at the computer. These literally allow me greater function and comfort.

although sunny days are better light because they get the yellow cast from the ...
if you have ANY light sensitivity - for example from Lasik, or Cataract surgery, or dry eye regular sunglasses note these couple of things:1) Regular sunglasses, no matter the tint, no matter the darness, will do absolutely nothing to block out the light which is bothiring or creating pain or headaches for you. The reason is................the spectrum light of uv, blue and greenwill still go through regular sunglasses no matter how dark they are or what color tint they have. The F1 tint is the only tint that will block these rays. If you have extreme sensitivity to light for any reason, you will notice an immediate difference with these. They will immediately soothe your eyes. I wear the indoor ones to do all computer work, and to watch tv at home. The outdoor ones will block all the blue light from outside on cloudy bright days, and sunny days., although sunny days are better light because they get the yellow cast from the sun. Also, I changed all of my lighbulbs to incandescent regular old bulbs. I replaced any LED bulbs. Halogen bulbs are much better for you and unfortunately, because the government is forcing us to use all LED lighting now as a building code, halogen recessed lighting is hard to get anymore. This is a real shame because if you have light sensitivity and a kitchen full of recessed LED lighting, you will have worse pain, and worse sensitivity when you stay in that room for long. I also changed all my LCD screens to lower backlighting, and all lighting settings. I did it on my iphone, too. Usually those are set at 100% from the factory. I turned them all to 50% or lower. That helps, too. For people who suffer from this problem of light sensitivity, the new world of lighting is going to cause them a lot of misery. If you can stick with incandescent lighting if at all possible, you will be much better off. Also wearing these glasses will help a great deal. With everything being fluorescent, LCD or LED today, its a big problem for headache sufferers and people with light sensitivity from dry eye, iol lenses, lasik, and contacts. These will really help. Its the only thing out there so far that will. I'm going to try to find an F1 tinted screen for my tv's. I don't know if there is anything like that out there, but there should be.

This might be a highly, highly uncommon thing to say but...
This might be a highly uncommon thing to say but they caused me to "see designs" as I closed my eyes at night. Like lava lamp designs in my eyes (when they were closed)... so, I wore it all day and it was great at reducing the pain of sunlight. I liked how you got the benefit of wearing sunglasses without the darkness of the lenses so you could still see clearly and wear them indoors... but when I went to bed and closed my eyes I saw moving lava lamp designs in my eyes... what is that? I let my mom test them out and the same happened to her... It prevented me from getting peaceful sleep so I immediately returned them. They're not for me. The phenomenon went away after like 10 days.

I can’t walk outside without these glasses.
I suffer from optical migraines and even have a hard time with light on cloudy days. I am on my third pair of these glasses. They are my savior for seeing outside in the light. I’m on my third pair bc of wear and tear of daily constant use. I’m glad that they finally started included a case for the glasses. Now, I wish they could make them more attractive. :)

Lenses great, frames too big
These lenses are amazing but they are HUGE! too big for my face and my glasses so they keep falling off.Sadly they are going back and I will Ned to try prescription sunglasses. I was just hoping to save some money.
