This is an Amazing Japanese Hanshi Paper!!!I am so glad to have it because it’s not always on Amazon, It may be sold out quickly. The quality is high!!I commented because I feel sorry for a Japanese company, Maruai. People who do not know how to use hanshi giving low score on the review. Yes, it was held half when I receive it. But hanshi papers are strong, you can spray water only a little bit when there are wrinkles. Then the surface will be smooth. You need to wait until the paper will dry of course. But this paper is not like artwork quality. It’s for practice Kanji. (I guess, not for Kana tho, but it was still okay as you see) So I am okay with these a little bit of wrinkles. Also,( depending on the humidity in your room tho) , if you leave a paper or papers in your room, it will absorb moisture and straighten itself!!! To conclude, I love this paper and I am glad to have it! 漢字、仮名練習にぴったりでした！良い書き心地です。折り畳まれて届いた場合は、書く前に部屋に使う分の半紙を置いて置くだけで空気中の水分を吸って、自然に真っ直ぐになります。それでもダメな場合は霧吹きで少しだけスプレーして乾かすと真っ直ぐになります。至って簡単です。アメリカでこのお値段で購入できるのは有り難いです！

I ordered what I thought was rice paper because it says so in the description. It's nice paper, just not the rice paper I was looking for.

Too sheer for my use. I guess I didn’t realize how sheer this would be.

If this is typical of rice paper, I cannot recommend it for pen and ink/calligraphy/fountain pen. It feathers. It bleeds through to the other side. And my package of paper arrived folded over in the middle from careless packaging. I even tried ironing it, but the bend is there to stay.
