I got this for my elderly mother. She loves doing sudoku puzzles and feels that they help keep her mentally sharp. The large size of the puzzles make it easier for her to work them, and the paper is heavy enough that she has no problem writing on it without getting bleed through from to the next page. The book lies flat so she can work the puzzles without needing to hold down the page.

I gifted this to my mom and she loves it! She does 3 or 4 of these a day and likes having easy, medium and hard puzzles to choose from. She especially likes having the answers in the back. It's a good value for someone who does lots of Sudoku puzzles.

FUNSTER 1,000 SUDOKU PUZZLES EASY TO HARD You can get a book of sudoku puzzles for about $3+. But they are small, only have a few puzzles - many have "mixed sudoku type" puzzles, the paper is brown like old newsprint and they are hard to hold in your lap, much less do the left side of the book - which must be "curled back" to hold it to do the puzzles on the right side. NOT THIS BOOK! It is BIG. It lays open FLAT if you give the spine a "crack". But the shocking feature upon opening it was ...... THE PAGES ARE ALL CRISP, WHITE, THICK STOCK!!!! SMOOOOOOOOOOOTH writing and easy on the eyes. ! Every time you open the book it says: this is a serious sudoku book. Is it a lap book too? YES. You can curl the left side around the book to do the right side or lay it open across your lap. BUT - the difference is - you get 9 - NINE - puzzles the same size as those small books on the right hand page. AND the book actually fits in your lap, not a "hand" book. The print POPS off the crisp, white page - clear and LARGE (not "large print") not too small to see or write in the boxes. The space IS A LITTLE LIMITED on the right margin and between puzzles for jotting down "missing numbers". But it works. Each puzzle has a black header inside it with an ID: "EASY 35" etc. Everything is NEAT - no "easy" or "hard" or any other words or stars cluttering up the page. Overall - FIVE STARS on quality, value and delivery. A serious, quality book that will last a long time. I will definitely but it again ....... someday :-) ...... til then, I"ll be busy doing all these puzzles. Another plus IMHO - it is ONLY SUDOKO, not filled with "other sudoku" puzzles.

Too many simple ones so much volume is wasted. Easy on the eyes.

Started learning how to play sodoku recently and I must say the easy was tough but I learned faster as I kept playing and learning

I am a big sudoku fan and was getting tired of playing on my phone. My husband actually ordered this for me and I worked my way through the easy section, most of the medium and challenged myself with the hard puzzles. This book has lots of puzzles for individuals at any sodoku level. Answers are in the back of the book if wanting to double check your work!

Last year I said: "The hard puzzles contain 24 & greater filled squares. Puzzles with over 22 filled squares are too easy to be entertaining. OK for beginner Sudoku fans." But now I disagree with me: Amazon told me to keep the book when I started doing the return. Then when I ran out of Sudoku puzzle books, I decided to use the book on hand because I was desperate. Over the year I've jumped around between East, Medium & Hard and I've learned a great deal more in terms of strategies & new ways to eliminate possible numbers working through the various levels & ignoring the numeric difficulty level assigned to each level. I've grown to really enjoy this book & I never would have been forced to recognize these strategies if Amazon hadn't told me not to return the puzzle book!! Thank you Amazon!

Took me all summer during a lockdown to complete it but well worth the price point. Good size book too

I got in touch with my old love for sudoku when I was working 12 hour shifts. I worked in dementia care, and between putting clients to sleep and waiting for the overnight care aide to come along, I had time to do the sudoku puzzles in the newspaper. I needed more than one, though, so I ordered this book. It's relaxing and keeps my mind alert and working, the big print was perfect for me, as I was working in dim light and I'm near sighted. I ended up keeping the book at work for a couple nights so the overnight care aide could try it out. So, in short, this book got a couple of twenty somethings addicted to sudoku. Now I have plenty of puzzles left to solve in my down time while studying or just needing a break. This book has been with me in sickness and in health, for better and for worse. I'm not being dramatic I actually have so much appreciation for this book.

The item itself arrived on time and is good quality. However the package had been opened clearly and was delivered opened which was strange as I have never had this with any Amazon product before. It is concerning as during this covid 19 I would expect greater care when concerning delivery of items and social distancing measures. Who ever delivered the item must have noticed it was completely open not just partially. Not quite sure who to contact about this issue.
