Some brands don’t work. This one worked pretty decently.

Works like a charm
Brought home some bird food that had moths in it. What a nightmare. Bought two traps from a local store but needed more so went to Amazon for a better deal. These work just great. Two things I liked better than the first ones I bought. First, they have a pretty design which I really like. Second, they are larger so there is a bigger 'fly-in' area and bigger 'catch' area so they last longer. Definitely recommend this product and appreciate the diligence of the product team to ensure that purchasers understand the purpose and correct utilization of product for maximum results.

It works.
I saw the occasional moth now and then, but didn't have an infestation. However, knowing how awful an infestation can be, I quickly ordered these to be proactive - once you have a lot, you have to toss all your food (or at least remove all the paper from all canned goods and wash the cans - the moths can get under the labels), clean every square inch of your cabinets and start over. I set up one in my tiny kitchen, got two moths before we left for vacation. We came back a couple weeks later and there were a few more moths trapped. Even though based on the instructions, I shouldn't need a second one in my small space, I just set one up yesterday. No one is in it yet, but I'm so glad I haven't gotten an infestation. I've used moth traps before where you put a pheromone disk/tablet thing on the sticky part. That works, but I like that this has the pheromone in the glue. I see these more as preventative moth treatment - not something to fix an already bad situation.

A company that wants you to succeed in using this trap properly. I like them!
I got an email from the seller when they shipped the moth traps. It outlined the several points that I have learned the slow way in my pantry-moth-adventure. Here is what they sent as an email and it applies to almost any moth trap you will set up:<snip> First, we wanted to double check if you were using the traps for pantry moths and not clothes moths. The pheromone in the traps you purchased is specific to pantry type moths and does not work with the type of moths in a clothes closet environment. We have had customers in the past that have tried to use these Pantry Moth Traps in a clothes closet environment, so we just want to make sure that your problem is pantry moths, not clothes moths.Second, and very important, make sure that you remove the protective covering from the inside surface of the traps before you assemble and place the traps. We've had a couple of customers not realize that they needed to take this step so just wanted to make sure you know to remove the protective covering. The way the trap works is that the pheromone attracts and traps only the male moth to end the mating cycle and stop new moths from being born. There are typically a lot more female moths than male moths in a population of moths. Female moths will not be attracted to the pheromone and will not fly into the trap, so you could see female moths flying around even after you place the traps and start catching male moths. Also, when you first open our trap, the air can potentially become saturated with the pheromone as the brand-new fresh pheromone is released, depending on the conditions of where the moth traps are placed. With that, the male moths won't be attracted specifically to the trap until the initial saturation of the air with the pheromone dissipates, which can take hours to days depending on the environment where you place the trap. The mating cycle will still be interrupted due to the air being saturated with the pheromone such that the male moths won't tend to find the female moths. But you won't see the physical result of male moths being caught in the traps. Again, after the initial saturation of the pheromone in the air dissipates, the male moths should start seeking out and getting stuck in the trap.Lastly, more isn't better when it comes to Pantry Moth Traps. If you place too many moth traps in a small area, it could confuse the male moths and lead to poorer performance of the traps instead of trapping more moths. One trap for each pantry is enough!

6 traps I put out did not catch one moth.
This phermone trap obviously doesn't work. I see moths flying around and have not seen one caught after a month of setting up 6 traps...both upstairs and downstairs of my house. Waste of money.

Be sure you have accurately identified the problem moth
I was hospitalized for a month last winter and when I got home I had tiny moths flying around. They were hatching from the wild bird seed that was in my basement. I went on line to identify the pests then ordered these traps. They work great! The first batch filled up so I ordered a second time. I still get a few flying around from time to time but it’s obvious that the breeding population is pretty much diminished. I did find out that these pests don’t have to lay eggs in grain. The will also lay them between sheets of news paper or even between papers in a file cabinet. What a pest! I’m glad that with your help I have a handle on the problem and I don’t think it will be long before I don’t see any anywhere.
