Sauder Beginnings Night Stand, Brook Cherry finish

In our home office we have a little area we set aside for reading. We already had a chair so we just needed a decent end table that matched the cherry desks and bookcases we have. We decided to get this one as we have had some luck with this brand in the past. It turned out to be perfect for our little area.I will say that you should pay close attention to how tall this is before you order. This is NOT a very tall table and may prove to be shorter than most would like. For us it ended up being perfect but I can see where others might be surprised if they don't pay attention before ordering.Also, our table was packed very nicely. It had extra protection on the outside of the box it was shipped in to prevent any edge or corner damage to the pieces. I can see where if this protection is not provided in every instance...some people are going to be getting damaged items. As long as they protect the package like ours was, you should be fine.

I'm using it for a nightstand

Looks good but is useless as a drawer. Drawer simply does not fit. Hardware is fixed plastic hardware. No rollers.

My in laws used this for printer table and planned to use the bottom slot of binders and paperwork. However, the slot below the drawer was not tall enough to have binders upwards which was very disappointing.It was easy to assemble-only took about 30 minutes. Material itself is not sturdy at all and it looks cheap in the room. I wouldn’t put anything heavier than a printer because it may collapse.Definitely not worth $50! Hassle to return because they won’t accept it at Kohl’s and I don’t want to disassemble again.

Pretty good value for the price. It took me (an extremely un-handy person) a little over two hours to assemble on my own. The drawer was a pain to put together and isn’t too sturdy, but it does the job. The instructions say you don’t need a drill, but a few parts of the assembly would have been easier with one. Also note that this nightstand is pretty small. In my photo it is pictured next to a 14” bed frame and a 10” mattress. But for a guest bedroom it will work fine. Overall I’m pretty happy with it.

Customer service on this was outstanding. When we unpacked this and assembled it, it was missing one tiny screw 1/4 inch long. I could not find a similar item at a hardware store, so called the number on the instructions book, and without question they immediately shipped us a replacement screw.They look beautiful, and are sturdy for daily use. I expect the drawers have a load limit, but we aren’t there yet.

Is this even a nightstand? A lot of my furniture is from Sauder and I have been extremely happy with the quality for a put it together yourself furniture brand but this nightstand is laughable. It is so short and small It’s not even normal bed height for a kid. The decorative piece at the bottom does not line up cleanly and no matter how much you adjust or tighten the brackets used to attach, there is a gap. I know it was only $40, but I don’t even think it was worth that. What a joke.
