Mind blowing purchase, I am using this with a doc which is connected with one USB mouse, one USB keyboard, two hdmi monitors and lan connection. It is working like a charm.

Here was my setup...1. Macbook pro with Apple Type C 3-port Adapter2. Multiport Adapter connected to Dell monitor (via HDMI port), Macbook charger (type C port) and LAN Cable (via USB port with Apple LAN to USB adapter)Since Apple Type C adpater has short cable to connect to macbook, I bought this cable to have flexibility. Found many such products ranging from Rs. 800 to 4-5k. Bought this cable as it seems like would work USB devices as well. But what I found was...1. Charging was working2. External monitor via HDMI connection was working3. Nothing connected on USB port of multiport adapter was working (direct or via USB hub).I tried changing cable orientation, port on macbook cable is connected...but could not make USB devices to work. It wasn't cheap cable which could just lie around the house. So had to return it as it was't useful at for the purpose it was created for.So, if you're buying this cable to be used as extension for Apple Multiport Adapter, then please note that USB devices connected to multiport adapter will not work. You will have to connect those to other Type-C port on macbook somehow to make use of those.Thanks!
