Filter is sturdy and does not get stuck inside

I ordered these MERV 12's because they were going to arrive ahead of the fires. I usually get MERV 13 filters to deal with smokey air. I figured a MERV 12 should be almost as good at MERV 13 for stopping smoke. Nope! Not even close.The AQI is about 220 outside, and with two 2-inch MERV 12 filters blowing through the furnace for 48 hours, the AQI is about 160 inside. So it's definitely better than nothing.However, a single 1-inch MERV 13 filter at a similar house a few blocks away gets down to ~ 20-40 AQI.Under normal circumstances these filters are going to be great for stopping dust and cleaning up the air. But if you've got 500,000 acres burning around you and need some relief from the smoke, these just aren't the right kind of filter.I ended up ordering some 1-inch MERV 13s. These will be going in the closet or maybe getting taped to a box fan.
