This book is much needed in 2021. Especially with so much education being lost since the pandemic. This book explains in details the 3 Rs of reading, writing, and arithmetic. You can also find videos of Samuel Blumenfeld discussing his books on the website.

(And it would still not be enough) This book, which has been in print continuously for almost 40 years - without any changes (Except for a renewed Preface) is, as Mary Pride (A leading homeschool reviewer) says is a "whole school in one book." It has not changed because it is timeless. The government type educrats keep coming up with new this and new that (which do not work), but the good old 3R's in this book never need to be changed. Where else can you purchase a "whole school" for only the few dollars How To Tutor costs? Boise, Idaho

The content of the book is excellent. I downloaded the Kindle version, and found that the student material in the reading lessons is in very small type (about 6 point). There is no way to enlarge it, either. I can make the font much larger, but the student material remains the same size.

I was disappointed to see that the book is geared to beginning reading and beginning math for very young children. I was searching for a book of principles on how to tutor any age.The book looks like just the thing for starting your little children on the right learning path.

Love the book! It has helped me not only work with my kids but other kids as well.

You really need very little more to teach these three subjects in the lower grades
