Dental Binocular Loupes 3.5X 420mm + LED Head Light Lamp +Aluminum Box (Blue)

I needed a pair of loupes in a pinch because my name brand ones were falling apart and my new pair would take another week or two to arrive. I was pretty impressed by the optics and this is compared to my $1k -2k custom fit pair. The fit was fine and it comes with a strap that I didn't know it came with. Like most of the headlamps I see on Amazon, it left something to be desired however with a little modification to the optic that magnified the light, to make it smaller but brighter, well it can't be beat for its value! Obviously I'll stick with my custom fit loupes for work.... However..... If there was a 5x or even a 6x version of these, to be honest I might consider swapping my light from my custom pair to the higher magnification version of these! Thank you for your really nice product in such a quick transaction because I was freaking out over not being able to see what I need to see!To explain the pictures: I wish I took a before picture of the light power because this is after my modification which really makes it a pretty high quality light maybe except for the battery pack that slowly dims the light as the battery runs out... But I mean, that's being pretty picky for the value considering how much I paid for this. For any non-medical purposes and for my hobbying, this would be an ideal buy by far!

If you are purchasing these for hobby and not professional use a word of caution is in order. Some reviewers mentioned that these don't work well if you will use in a sitting position or at a table. That's because the "working distance" or focal length on these magnifiers is about 16.5 inches (420mm). At a table, you are too close to the work. They work well when, for example, you are standing at a workbench. Otherwise, this loupe is pretty well made. One other important point, they are very heavy. I couldn't wear them for very long since they began to weigh on my nose and became painful. Trying to decide if I will keep them or not. rwj.

As a dental hygienist I was timid about this purchase- but they work great (takes time to figure out best focus for your eyes) light is bright and can last 1/2 to whole day depending on use!

This product was so cheap I had to try it when my hygienist got one and loved hers. I paid just shy of $2500 for my usual ones but the quality is superb with them. This one is no where near as comfortable or great. It has trouble keeping the focal length of the magnifiers. The light is good but with the glasses needing constant adjustment, I virtually always reach for my more expensive loupes. Not really worth the money.

I'm a dental student and I need a good and cheap loupe. but this one it doesn't work at all .IT is nor fit with a eye distance and is not very clear .

I’m a dentist and I used these loupes while my name brand loupes were getting repaired. It took a bit to get used to these loupes at first but once you get accustomed to it they’re amazing! Light weight, easy to use, adjustable, and the light is bright!The only cons are that the battery dies pretty fast so you have to constantly charge it and after a month of using it the wire started to become worn out and would make the light turn off if the wire is positioned a certain way.Either way I think this is a great temporary solution for anyone who needs loupes!
