I was desperate to find a tree stand for a small tabletop tree, as I don't have room for a full-size tree in my small apartment, and last year's experiment of sticking the mini-tree trunk in a bucket full of rocks didn't work out so well. This was the literally the only style I could find anywhere, online or off, so thank goodness it turned out to be a good one!The plastic is good quality, thick and sturdy; I think it will definitely last through several years of tree-standing as well as off-season storage in both cold and hot weather. The screws that hold the trunk in place are really easy to adjust, plus they're nice and stout and hold the tree pretty tightly (even more so than I expected, actually). The base of the stand holds enough water to keep a 3' tree hydrated for almost a week in a VERY dry room. One of my favorite unexpected features of this tree stand is the rim around the outer bottom edge, which catches some excess water if you drip or overfill while watering the tree - it doesn't hold much, but it's enough to provide some protection for your tabletop.Overall, I found this to be well-made and a good value for the price. My only regret was that I paid extra for two-day shipping from Amazon and then, just a few days later, found it in a store near me (and I thought I had looked everywhere!). It was worth it, though, because it made it so much easier to set up my tiny tree this Christmas, and should do the same for years to come!

I usually acquire a small 2.5-4 ft fresh tree each year. The tiny table-top trees come with a cheap stand (understandably) that breaks or leaks. I've acquired other after-purchase stands, but I usually have to rig the tree a bit because they're just slightly too big for my tree. This one fits PERFECT! It's all plastic, but very sturdy, and it's holding my 3.5 foot tree easily and securely -- no wobble!. The screws are fat plastic components that screw to the trunk quite well -- probably because of their width. I think this could possibly even secure a tree trunk in the 1.5" range it works so well for small trees.

I hand-craft mini candy flower trees. I have been using a make-shift base for my trees, but I finally tried to find a product that would work. I lucked upon this. And, boy, am I happy. My candy cardboard tree trunk is only about 1-2" in diameter, but the pins still hold firm. My tree is less than 2 feet high. The label states that the stand can hold a tree up to 4 feet in height. This stand is perfect for my needs. I remove the tree to add the candy flowers and insert it back when not needed for safe keeping. My only gripe is that I wish the base were smaller. It takes up a lot of work space. But for live "real" trees, the water reservoir is huge and can hold plenty of water. That would be a plus. Thanks for this product from a very happy artisan.

Got a 4 foot tabletop Christmas tree. Saw this stand on Amazon and ordered it. Was delivered in a couple of days. Set up was super easy and the tree is very stable.

I needed a replacement stand for a 5' fake Christmas tree. The bottom stand had broken, but I wanted to keep using the tree. The bottom plastic base of the tree is 3" wide, so I chose this stand because the reviews were pretty good and it was rated for a 3" wide tree trunk. It turned out that I didn't need 3" because the stand is deep enough to cover the wide part of my tree (it's to hold water, if needed), but I did need it to fit the 1" wide trunk of the tree. This stand fit fine, the outside width of the base is wide enough to provide a secure base support, and the large plastic screws just made it to 1" apart to hold the tree trunk.

Stand was the perfect size for my 4' tree. It was easy to set the tree up. However, it leaks! There is a small hole somewhere on the bottom and the water slowly leaks out. Not good when it is to be used for a tabletop. My wood table was damaged. If you get one that doesn't leak it is good, but I don't think it is worth the risk, or at least make sure you water test it before you put your tree in it.

The product listed is for a five foot tree. The one I got - as did another reviewer - is only for a 4 foot one. Luckily my tree is only 3.5 feet and this worked fine with large plastic screws that is holding the tree firmly upright.

It has been years since I had a Christmas tree. I was looking forward getting a tree but not the hassles of dealing with a tree stand. I have arthritis and it is not easy for me to deal with small parts. I was pleasantly surprised by this stand. It work for our 4.5 ft fairly thick tree. It fits fair amount of water. The water is easy put in and there were no spillage.The screws that keep the tree fixated in place are large and easy to turn and tighten.
