Not what I expected from the review .
I would not recommend this book to anyone I am sorry to say. Awarded one star as it was a great disappointment but decided to stay with it till the end to see if it would improve!

Dont waste your money
It isnt really a book as such more like a scrap book of notes. I think it has been sent out without being approved by a proper editor. Took about 45 minutes to read the whole thing.

Disappointed. Sorry not for me!
I bought this following a newspaper article. I was surprised when it arrived how little reading matter there was (59 pages), which in the end I was glad of.I did read it from cover to cover, waiting for something to happen but I was left wanting.

Book review
After listening to the authors wife on the radio i ordered this book as it sounded extremely interesting but on reading which took a couple of hours it was so disappointing. There was no story to it and the facts pretty lame.I am not taking away from what the author went through as i'm sure it seemed all to real at the time but as i say i was extremely disappointed. If you want wartime stories there are plenty of well written books out there and this was a complete waste of 2/3 hours.

What a great in site into the normal world of a lad growing up in the Second World War in Rural Britain... with a twist...fantastic book.. what a secret to keep from your wife family and friends to the end..

Operation XX and me.
What a disappointment when I received this very small book 63 pages. Thought it was going to be a spy story. wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Eileen. Only took me an hour to read it, very boring.
