Unless you want a single use only product, stay away!I was delighted with the quality of this product, as delivered. I use a lot of dessicant packets from various sources, as part of my 3D printing business.Today, I decided it was time to rejuvenate several dessicant packs to keep them at optimum performance. These SorbCo packets had a specified "reactivation" temperature and time of 245 F for 16 hours on them so I used that as my guide for reactivating the eight other packets (various sizes larger and smaller than the SorbCo product) that I wanted to reactivate.I am an instrumentation engineer, so I carefully monitored the temperature of my laboratory oven before placing the multiple dessicant packets into it for drying. I monitored the temperature through the day, starting at 220 F and gradually reaching 234 F as the materials dried out.After 9 hours at less than 235 F, the SorbCo packet had failed and was discharging tiny beads into the pan in my oven. All other packets were intact. All were carefully removed and the intact packets were carefully stored for use or further drying. The SorbCo mess was discarded, and I would never purchase this product again.

My recommendation to others is to not purchase. The product works well when it's just fresh out of the package but here's what I've noted below.1. The labeling says these are 120g packets but by my gram scale they are actually 107g so you are getting shorted 10% product.2. The glue on the Tyvek packaging will fail if you attempt to reactivate the desiccant following the maker's oven instructions. Two hours in the oven at 220 degrees is enough to fail the glue.3. Microwave reactivation per the instructions on the package is ineffective. I weighed the bag before and after microwaving following the instructions and noted that the weight didn't change. It took 17 min @ 10% power to effect a 6g reduction in moisture.4. Microwaving even at the very lower power setting will cause the bag to puff up like a bag of popcorn stressing the Tyvek seams.5. The outer foil packaging the product came in will not retain a vacuum seal which means unused bags will not necessarily be fresh when you use them.

Fast shipping. I haven't opened the sealed bag yet as I'm not ready to use it but this should work great.I got this item to use in a mini fridge setup dry aging beef in an appliance called The Steak Ager.[...]In the mini fridge, there was excessive humidity due the the drying process which led to ice build up and effected cooling performance which I didn't like.I got this to absorb the extra humidity during the first week or two of the dry aging process.

I got these packets to use with the wood pellets for my pellet smoker. Since I started using these desiccant packets in the pellet hopper on the smoker, I’ve had no problems with pellets getting damp while sitting outdoors, even during cold and damp weather. I love the fact that these packets can be “recharged” in the microwave, even though I haven’t needed to do it yet.

We are storing books & magazines. As a librarian I know how important it is to keep materials dry & protected. I am feeling very confident that this product will keep our materials in excellent condition.

Performs as described. The packets are easy to use and slip into the storage area without taking up much space. I opened a storage bin recently and there was no musty smell, so they must be absorbing.

Great product 👍. I use these mainly for vintage camera and film storage and they work great. I will of course, be ordering more.

Finally - storage in the basement & gun safe is good ! This has saved my bedspread from being musty and keeps the hunting rifles from too much moisture.
