Pricey, but you get what you pay for.
Other reviewers mentioned issues with quality control. My hatchet showed up plenty sharp and in great shape. I gave the handle another few coats of linseed oil since the factory finish was pretty light but overall it's a stellar hatchet. With care this should last a lifetime. For those with issues with their axe, they should return it for another because if you're in the market for a great hatchet, this hits the mark. The super small size is mostly good for fine detail work, very small trees, or making kindling. Anything larger and I would suggest a woodsman's/carpenter's hatchet with a ~18in-20in handle. A great cheaper option for this axe would be the Husqvarna which has nearly the same quality head but less finishing on the handle and other small details.

Crooked head.
Was thrilled that my hatchet came today, but when I opened it the first thing I noticed was the head is forged crooked. The edge and poll are both way out of alignment with the handle. I will admit that the edge is very well sharpened, and the finish was decent. Still, the head was not as nice as the handle though. Definitely not worth $89.00. A Fiskars X7 is worth more and costs less than $30.00. Think long and hard before you buy one of these. If the head was forged correctly I would be very happy with this hatchet. I will be returning this product.

Very dull out of the box
Very dull out of the box, the sheath was dryrotted when I received it. Not what I expected from a quality name like wetterlings
