D Shape Toilet Seat

Discovered my exiting toilet seat was cracked so needed a speedy replacement to avoid getting a nasty nip on the cheek! After recovering from shock at the cost of a replacement seat from the toilet manufacturer I found this one at a more reasonable price and was the right shape. New seat arrived the next day and was very well packed so arrived in pristine condition. As the previous seat was a top fitting design the whole replacement procedure was very straight forward and was completed in under 10 minutes. Although a square edged design rather than the curved edge of the previous seat it brings a more modern look to the toilet and looks a quality design. Soft close & quick release systems work well but only time will tell how robust the whole assembly is. Previous reviews mention difficulty with removing the seat & difficulty with latching to the fixing posts but I doubled checked the the centres between the fixings & the toilet seat matched and greased the top of the posts with a small amount of Silicone grease before assembly with the result the seat easily clicks into place and is very east to remove. Overall impressions are of a well made product that fits well, looks good and doesn’t cost an arm & a leg!

Brilliant sturdy white toilet seat. High quality. Installing was a little bit tricky having to change the attachments but instructions take you through this step by step. Easy to remove and apply by pressing the buttons. Highly recommend.

I chose this D-shaped toilet seat after reading many positive reviews. It was delivered in appropriate packaging with a simple instruction leaflet which included diagrams. The process for installation is fairly universal on this style of toilet seat, and once you take off your old one you can easily see how the new one must be installed. I'm a single woman and I've never fitted one before and it was all fairly easy until I got to the part where you have to align your two spindles exactly right in order for the seat to fit the toilet exactly. It took a fair bit of trial and error, but that's because these are universal fittings – and according to the YouTube videos I watched, it's a standard design in the industry. The two plastic 'plugs' you push down into the two cistern holes (to hold the screws) seemed sturdy, although it took a lot of pushing to get them fully in, and I was nervous of breaking them. Once I got the seat positioned correctly and tightened up the screws it was easy to finish the job by putting on the circular screw covers. They are white plastic (where my originals were stainless steel), so they blend in well. The seat looks stylish and modern and is nice quality. The soft close feature works well. All in all, a good value toilet seat for the price.

To start with I was quite disappointed at how unsteady and wobbly the seat was and when the fittings actually came out of the holes in the toilet I was all set to order a new set of fittings but then after having another go at setting the seat in position I realised the only reason it wasn’t sturdy and it came loose was because I hadn’t tightened the fittings enough so after realigning the toilet seat (which is very quick & easy) and then tightening the fitting screws until they couldn’t possibly be tightened any further the seat is now as sturdy and stable as any toilet seat possibly could be. The soft close works perfectly and it is so easy to clean, even before removing the quick release seat, that it takes no time at all where as I had to completely disassemble my previous seat just to clean it and previous non-quick release seats haven’t been anywhere near as stable as this one. If I had more than 1 toilet I would be replacing all my toilet seats with this one!

Fits perfectly, no staining

The product quality is very good! Feels very solid and very easy to install too. However the soft-close effect last only 3 days and since the toilets seat made with high quality of material, it’s very heavy and it made a massive “banging” noise whenever we close the lid.

This was a replacement for a toilet seat that had been installed when we had our bathroom refurbished but had become very loose. I was a little hesitant ordering this as I had read some other reviews with lower stars so I will 'answer' some of those concerns (although it is a recent purchase at the moment): 1. The white colour is as white as any other white toilet seat - some reviews said theirs was off colour, this one whilst not 'brilliant' or 'ice' white, was the same white as the seat it replaced 2. Wobbling - when the seat is upright there is a little movement but in the down position it seems very sturdy 3. installation - I was really impressed. I was worried because it was a different fitting to the original seat. The original seat had been installed on the close-coupled toilet before the toilet was installed and the fitter had used the 'underneath' fitting which meant that unfortunately, once the toilet was installed you can no longer get 'underneath' and so it needed a 'blind' / above fitting (that came with the new seat). Before ordering I had double checked the diameter of my hole and was a little concerned as it was the upper limit tolerance of what the specifications said and some reviewers had said that thiers was loose. I need not have worried, i installed the plastic 'raw plug' fitting in the hole and then put the the caps on and started tightening the screws- it is important to say you have to tighten for quite a while before the fixing becomes fully firm (effectively the screw pulls up and expands the rawplug in the hole). It could be that others who experienced problems with lossness may not have quite kept tightening until the raw plug was very firm. I had expected at least 30-45 minutes but total fitting time was probably 5 minutes. The seat itself seems sturdy enough and so far so good

Replacing a Roca seat that broke after 3 years. This isn't quite as sturdy but easy to fit and a good cheaper option.
