Unisex-Child Beginner Tie Tap Shoes

Fits true to size. I read some reviews that said to size up, which I did- and i regret it. My (almost) 2 and 1/2 year old wears size a between size 7 &8 toddler shoes. I ordered an 8.5. It is very loose on her. I should have ordered 7.5. Other than that, material is good.

It fits but I really took a chance because I could NOT find any sizing information, on the amazon website or the manufacturer's website. I got the 8.5 C size and it justbarely is big enough. I was aiming to buy 1/2 size up so that she can grow with it for the next year. I will update later but I feel like we will end up buying again in 6 months. My daughter wears size 8, I bought a 8.5.....My advice: C width is kind of small. I might buy a width bigger next time. And I would buy a WHOLE size up from what you normally buy.

Go for something just a little bit more expensive (Capezio or Bloch). These were poorly made. One of the nails used to hold the tap in place was put in badly and had a sharp piece of metal sticking out of it. It could've hurt my daughter when she put it on, and it definitely would've ruined the floor with big scratches. I also compared it with a Capezio shoe I bought and the tap was much thinner and made a lack luster sound. Needless to say, I returned these shoes and spent the $5 more it cost to buy Capezio shoes.

I bought based on the reviews... My 3 year old wears a 6T... for her to be so tiny, the shoe was very narrow. I would not suggest for wide feet. Also, in my opinion, the shoe looks poorly made... kind of like they’re glued together. I didn’t like the aesthetics and my daughter didn’t like the fit....

I have no knowledge of dance and my baby isn't in tap class, so not sure how much weight you should give this - but the shoes are gorgeous (with cute string to tie the bow). She wears them everywhere and they've already withstood a lot of abuse quite well. A better mother than I would have realized that they are very slippery (by nature of the taps) and provided ample warnings; my daughter has taken a few spills, but refuses to take them off. She sleeps in them! Best nine bucks I've ever spent through the warehouse deals. It's hard to get her to take a bath now though. :). They are nice and shiny and the ribbon is a good quality. Because she wears them all the time, sometimes the heel kind of caves in? But that's because we abuse them, probably.

This is the first time we have purchased this particular brand of tap shoe. It was less expensive that some of the others but with comparable quality. The taps on the bottoms of the shoes are attached securely, the cushion inside doesn't seem top be pulling loose at all. They are comfortable and tie to fit perfectly. We use an elastic closure because my daughter's dance teacher prefers little ones to not have ties on their shoes as it distracts from class to have to retie them, and we haven't had any problems that way either.

Last year we had the "stiff" version of these tap shoes made by the same company. They never did get them "broken in". My daughter complained them constantly and never wanted to wear them. She always took them off during class. But, these shoes are nothing like that. They're very flexible and she never complains about these hurting her feet. They've broken in nicely. But, she never complained even when they were still new. I will buy this shoe again. Never going back to the "stiff" version!

These would be perfect if I could use them! Opened the box and only ONE lace was there, so I could only tie up 1 shoe. These are useless without a lace. Very frustrated since this is the only place that I could find her size. Now she can’t even wear them for her first dance class tomorrow.. sad little girl and angry momma!
