Well made
I bought one of these sets many years ago and also got a free steak knife set. Mine are used every day and have never failed. Because the knives are stainless steel and do not have a separate handle, they have never tarnished or pitted. The block feels solid but not too heavyThis set was purchased as a gift for my son and daughter in law who have always admired mine. They arrived promptly, as stated and were well packed so no damage.. I would highly recommend them, as believe the price is good.

Good for the price
I had been looking for a set of knives for around £40-50 which would complement our 1990's outdated pine veneer rented kitchen, as pretty much anything nice that we buy jars with the overall veneery aesthetic. So after embracing the veneer we are purchasing more cheap veneer and wood kitchen items, so I was happy to find this set of knives, partly due to the wood style of the block but also because the block is set up right instead of lower/flatter (the upright knife block helps with space saving). Anyway, I digress, the knives are made from stainless steel and after doing a little research the steel used is a generic Chinese steel, which is cheap to manufacture, hard enough and easy to clean, apparently not the greatest if you're a professional knifemen, but good enough for the average home cook. The knives themselves are sharp and come in a variety of useful different types. After a week of use I can say that the bread knife is not as good as Ikea's bread knife and the other knives are decent enough but not as good as some others I have had in the past or currently have in the cutlery drawer. The knives are all light, they seem hollow inside the handle and don't have the weight of more expensive knives - so they aren't that well balanced - but for the price I am happy. The block is solid, looks good from the front and side, is heavy and holds the knives tightly. It also cleans up real good.If you're on a budget, you can't go wrong with these but if you want some more professional feeling knives then look elsewhere.

Rust and not very sharp
Not bad knives but are showing rust spots even though I’ve never had them in the dishwasher and don’t leave them to soak and dry them straight after washing. They also aren’t the sharpest knives I’ve used. Probably wouldn’t buy again.

Large handles
These are easy to hold and use. I can’t grip small handles due to arthritis

Sharp but unfortunately fragile (see pic)
I liked them until this happened. I was slicing a block of cheese. They have been sharp and good but at less than 2 months old this isn't good! I will try and get it replaced, hopefully they assist well!
