It DOES work.
The media could not be loaded. I’ve had my gel nails (from the salon) on for almost two weeks now. I read and watched (Good/bad) reviews/videos on this product. Some said they didn’t like it due to the feeling the polish remover has during the 12 minute process and or because it didn’t take it off so easily.I can say from videos the girls missed a step.To start:1. You have to use the nail file to rough up the gel. I used the 150 file from the package.2. Apply a coat for a minute then do it again. Allowing it to apply lumpy.3. Let sit for a good 12 minutes.4. Use a good scrapper to remove gel and magic remover solution.5. Remove excess with a good file (in package, i used 180 & 220) and then buff nails with 1000/4000 buffer from package.Helpful Tips:1. I tried applying the magic remover with a filed nail and one without. The product did work both ways; however the best I found was when I filed the nail first. I even heard the popping and felt it pop on my nail during the wait process.2. Be very careful if you’re using a scrapper. I didn’t realize I was digging into my nail and made lots of cuts. (Look at photo) buffing helped this afterwards but still once I learned how to scrape it didn’t leave as many marks.3. My magic remover was clear not blue. Not sure if this helps but thought I’d throw it in there.4. Lastly, the heavy/warm feeling I got on the nail was not too bad. It did seem to squeeze my nail a bit inward but after about 7 minutes all of that went away and as you can tell the end result was great. Didn’t affect the nail at all.Now can i say it’s easier than soaking them off. I can’t say because I’ve only done that at the nail salon (where it was done for me and would take an hr or longer).I can say this...i enjoyed doing it at home for the 20 mins total it took me, in the comfort of my own home.I just need to get better scrapping or using a different tool so i dont leave cuts in my nails.Good luck!

Worked on my two-week old manicure
I had my nails done with gel for the first time in my life for my wedding. I do my nails myself at home so I didn't want to go in and pay someone to remove the grown-out manicure. This stuff comes out like a gel consistency - not sure if that's how it was supposed to be. It was hot the day it arrived and the temperature on the delivery truck may have affected it. I recommend filing down the manicure a little with the provided boards (thankful I got the tool kit with the gel!) and THEN applying the remover. Let it sit, and it may take a few times to get through all the layers. It took me about 4 applicaitons on both hands to remove everything completely. BUT I didn't have any drying skin as happens with pure acetone. NO strong smell! I just did one hand at a time while playing with my 4 year old, and scraped off the color with the provided tools. Filed and buffed and it was all gone! I realize I paid for this kit to remove the polish - probably more than I would have in the salon, but it seems like a much better alternative to acetone remover so I'll continue to use it with my at-home manicure supplies and polishes. If you have patience then I wouldn't hesitate to get this!

Worked for me
I was a little apprehensive to order this after reading some reviews of people having reactions to the product. But being tired of spending hours helpless with my fingers wrapped in tin foil & acetone soaked cotton balls, I decided to give it a shot. I started on one nail only with blue nail polish. It really didn't do the "burst" thing like advertised but after about 5 minutes I was able to remove a good portion of the polish. I also had nails with red polish & nails with white polish with glitter polish on top....an extra layer to get through. The red polish did do the burst thing...kinda cool to watch. The white & glitter nails took a bit longer. I ended up doing 2 rounds on the blue & red & 3 rounds on the white & glitter nails. I washed my hands after each round of remover. I still had to do some light scraping to remove the last little bits of polish, but nowhere near as much if was using straight acetone.Four stars because the polish didn't come off the first try...and yes, I had buffed the top coat off pretty well. I didn't do all nails at once to make sure I wouldn't have any reactions so it took me about 1 1/2 hours to finish up. Next time, I'll do all nails at once. The remover is very goopy, doesn't drip, so I should be able to handle all ten nails in one shot. There's no smell, thank goodness. I will order again as long as I don't have any reactions. The files included were a nice bonus. They're good quality & there are several grits for any filing need.

Works perfectly on dipping powder
I was a little skeptical after reading the reviews, but I thought it was worth a shot to give this product a try. I am so glad I did!The trick is to buff the top coating before you apply the chemical. I use a plug-in nail grinder. The inside liquid is very thick, and it smells really strong, but it works! I painted on the liquid and within 10 minutes the nail powder started to show signs of lifting. I used the metal scraper in the kit that came with this set to gently scrape my nails. The liquid did cause me some discomfort on my skin, but I have sensitive skin. I washed it off and reapplied another coat...after all I have 4 layers of dip to remove. The second treatment was the charm. There was no damage to my nails. It used to take me 45 to 60 minutes or more to remove my nail powder, with this product it did it in about 30 minutes.I will definitely continue to use this product. I just wish it came in a larger bottle.

It doesn't work and ruined my nails
Nail disaster! I applied to my nails and immediately I felt a pulling sensation. I thought "ok, it's going to start cracking". It didn't. My nails just felt tight. After several minutes, I tried to scrape some polish off, and it barely budged...there was still no cracking. Instead, my nails literally started squeezing inward. It started to hurt! I got scared! I got my clippers and hack my nails down as far as they would go. I grabbed acetone and soaked my nails, then gave them a good scrub and buffed the rest of my polish off.
