Great source to deduce what your students need. This helps fill in the gaps in their knowledge about reading.

Just bought this book and it has great ideas to make learning fun and educational. So many ways to teach the same thing to children so as not to make them dread the fated "Not this again!" syndrome.I have used a lot of the ideas already and have only had it a couple of weeks. They ask me if they can do some of the activities. They are learning without realizing they are working!So much fun to see their eyes light up when they finally understand because of what they have been doing.Great book with great ideas. Would suggest it to any teacher working with younger aged children who are struggling and even those who are not struggling.

I am a reading interventionist with no curriculum and this book has been a lifesaver for me! I love the assessment for phonological awareness at the beginning of the book. From there, I can determine what I need to work on with each student. I love the tier included with each lesson and the simplicity of the lessons. My students and I absolutely LOVE the read-aloud book choices and lessons (our favorite has been the "toy store" activity - each group I've done it with has asked when we are going to do it again). Hands-down, the best $20 I've spent on ANY educational book (and I have several hundreds).

I use these mini-lessons in my classroom all the time. Phonological Awareness is so important and often neglected. These lessons don't take a ton of a prep either, so they are easy to implement.

This book contains fun activities and lots of variety. This is a good resource for teaching phonological awareness. The arrangement of activities for skills and tier levels is helpful.

Loaned it out and never got it back. It is a must-have for me as an intervention specialist working with kindergartners. Will reorder it!
