I purchased these for my girlfriend, as she's very nervous around snow and ice. She's used them through a whole winter and they're still perfect to use for the next. It's comforting to receive extra studs, but so far they haven't been needed. She now stomps with confidence through all weathers!They have attached to literally every piece of flat footwear she has, even boots with a small heel.

I never thought I’d need ice grips/crampons but when I took my little lad out a couple of months ago, the black ice was everywhere. He ran out the door as he does every time and like a chocolate furry bowling ball, he went sliding right along the pavement on his bum and whacked into my parked car. Dogs obviously have to poop and a trained dog will rarely go in his own garden, if at all, but I had to bring him back in because we just couldn’t go anywhere.This was obviously a problem I hadn’t considered. He needs walks regardless of the weather and I needed a way to give them to him in cold and icy weather, so I ordered these from Amazon within about 10mins of getting back in the house. They came the next day, but by then the ice was gone. Cut to this morning (23rd Jan ‘19) in -4°C with ice everywhere and I finally got a chance to test them out and review them.I should note that last year I had a nasty broken wrist in cold weather and I’m now basically 60% in my left hand. So my confidence in cold weather took a big hit. But I put these on the morning and with each step on the pavement, grass and frozen mud, I was able to stride more confidently.They’re cheap, but that doesn’t reflect the quality. The rubber is heavy duty and the studs are durable. They also include many replacements which are a good bonus and a sign that these could last a long time. You can fit them to your shoes/boots in 10 seconds and they mostly stay in place...Which leads me the ONLY downside. The grips kept shifting off-centre during our walk and it wasn’t a very long one this morning. Therefore any extended walk means I’d have to stop and readjust them multiple times so as not to put stress on the stretching rubber or slip because the grips aren’t directly underfoot.I should point out though that I’m a size 13 in shoe and these are intended for a 10 (I think) and I’m also quite big - 6’5” 240lbs. Taking my shoe size and weight into account, that could explain why they weren’t exactly staying in place.So that’s it. One little gripe about the grips, but I’m actually going to buy another set just to keep for the future. They gave me confidence this morning and allowed me to look after my little lad who loves the cold weather.So I’m giving these a 5-Star review, because even though they’re not entirely perfect for me, I am using them beyond their limits and they’re still performing brilliantly and making a big difference.

Third different type of snow/ice shoe grippers - and for ice, these are the best. Spare studs may well come in handy but no casualties on this pair yet - despite quite a bit of walking on pavements and roads where the ice had melted. Much more secure fitting than other styles, as they come up high on your heel as well as over the toe. Only thing is, any shoe other than completely flat, and he studs may not hit that block heel. Even then though, felt very confident walking in them.

Good fit for size 5 to 6 ladies boot.

these fit great over my walking boots, and are now a permanent addition to my bad weather kit in my car to cover dog walking and general walking in the snow and ice. Sizes do come up a little small so I suggest if in doubt get the bigger sizes especially if buying for boots rather than shoes.nicely made and very easy to fit an a few seconds. the added bonus of extra studs it a very thoughtful idea and ensures the product will last for many years.

Found them a bit hard to stretch over size 8 boots, i maybe should have ordered a bigger size. They did do the job though , no slipping on ice in Iceland for me. Only gave it 4 stars as the size was tight

I bought these spikes for a trip to Northern Norway up as far as Kirkenes, where I suspected (rightly as it turned out) there was a pretty good chance of snowy/icy paths and roads.Overall, they worked well and I had much more grip (and more confidence as a result) whilst using them.My one caveat would be that they did 'slip around' a bit on the boot while in use - although not enough to be in danger of coming off or seriously reducing the grip provided on the sole, the heel was somewhat affected.Still well worthwhile though; and if they work in Northen Norway they can probably cope with a British winter!

I made the mistake of listening to the reviewer who said these "come up small", so I bought the XL size for my size 10 shoes and they kept falling off. I have now bought the size L (which is what is recommended) but have not worn them out yet. This was NOT the provider's fault. Delivery was very prompt and the product seems well made. Just listen to the manufacturer, not people like me!
