It works, usually
This type of flash trigger was once very common, but today, there are few electronic flashes which will accept this plug. But if you have access to an old working Honeywell strobe, or some other brand of "potato masher" strobe, this little trigger can help you get a little more use out of antique gear. I'm using my trigger successfully with a Sunpak 611, a 35 year old strobe I bought new while in high school. Actually makes the old strobe fit right in with modern radio controlled electronic setups in multi flash systems.

Works wonderfully..
This little slave tripper works great in my studio. Getting this has allowed me to use a now 30 yr old black line pro speedotron power unit for my photography my folks handed down that would otherwise be collecting dust. The power unit still works great for just continuous model lights and is built like a tank, but there was no way to easily connect my digital camera to pop the strobes. I'm using canon products and have noticed that using the pop up flash on camera to trigger the unit, the flash must be set to second curtain in order to sync with the speedotron strobe. Using an external 600EX-RT flash, the external must be mounted on the camera to sync. This doesn't sync right when firing the internal flash and external flash through wireless in optical slave mode like I had hoped allowing me to cheaply incorporate additional flash speedlites in the mix, but I might not have tried all the settings yet. Not sure about this kind of setup with a radio trigger system. I can say regardless of these limitations, I'm happy I now have some way to wireless trigger the speedotron and get it back into action!

Does NOT Work!
I had to have a flash literally 1 inch away from this stupid thing to make it actually work. Totally useless!!!
