not hard salami
I don't know what this stuff is, but it most certainly is NOT hard salami. It's more like summer sausage, but a lot more greasy, and with more seasoning.

No, no, and no!
I lived in Europe for 28 years, and have been to Italy numerous times. If you tried to sell this in Italy as an Italian Salami, you would be out of business in no time. This thing is terrible. It's not a hard salami to begin with, it's more like a summer sausage. I know a thing or two about smoking meat, this is not smoked, it probably has been rubbed with liquid smoke, or liquid smoke has been added to it for flavor. I should have read more of the details about this product before ordering it. I did after I received it and tried it, it even says "German Style'. Well, i have never even heard of a German style Italian salami before! Your neighborhood supermarket probably has a better Italian salami than this, so don't waste your money. Seriously, this is really bad!PS. I have been a Director of Food & Beverage for 24 years, so I obviously know more about food then most people.

Just what I was hoping for
I grew up in the borderland of Denmark/Germany where smoked, soft sausages are treasured, and they are not called "salami" and they are soft. This is the closest I have come and I don't understand why it is sold as a "hard salami". If you don't expect a "hard Italian salami" you might find this one delicious.
