There is nothing better in the musical world then listening to music that brings back memories of the times in one's life when these hits were on the top of the charts.

Before I start my review of this cd set, I need to tell you that my wife and I are in our early 70's and realize that this is the music we grew up listening to. Andy Williams, the Ray Coniff Singers, B.J. Thomas, Petula Clark, The Fifth Dimension, Elvis ... and so when I first saw this 10 disc set on Amazon, I jumped at the chance to get it. The first vendor sent 2 of the 10. The second, third, and fourth followed suit ... quite often with the same 2 disc set. I have many Time-Life sets and the quality is great on every one of them. So after the fourth attempt to get this set, I was advised by family and friends tp give up the ghost and move on. I really wanted the set so I decided to give it one last try. Imagine my delight and pleasure when the mailman handed me a box that contained all ten cds. Time Life had taken this set out of production years and years ago, so I feel so lucky to have one. It can unopened, brand new and plays better than what I remembered the old songs on AM/FM. Wonderful packing and shipping. My wife loves it as much as I do so it was worth the perseverance to get it.

I love all the old songs in this collection

This is a fun CD if you're of the age where you can remember these songs and singers. The first few times through the CD you can have fun trying to remember titles and singers. There are many excellent songs, although I think the first CD (there are two) is somewhat better.The quality of the recording is OK; not great by satisfactory. One problem with all these "best of" CD's is the volume from song to song is quite variable so you find yourself frequently adjusting the volume. This is my reason for giving it four stars instead of five.If you're part of this 60's - 70's generation you can be sure you'll enjoy. Plus, I find it's great driving music - take it on your next trip!

The description reads “10-CD/150-TRACK BOX SET”. I only received 2 discs with 15 songs each. This also has all 10 Disc with the different songs listed. Product information reads Number of discs - 10. This is false advertising. I would like to receive all 10 discs. If you read the reviews some people got 10 and some others got what I got. Unfortunately this will be returned.

I am a bit disappointed. I was under the impression from watching the TV commercial that all the songs were from the 50's and 60's top tunes, not from those going back decades before. And of course there were a couple of disc's full of songs I really do not care for but I should have expected that.Over all I guess the product was worth the purchase price.

The 10 discs hold around 150 songs that were all easy listening hits back in the 50's, 60's, 70's and 80's. The quality of the sound of the discs is nice and clean for the ones that I've listened to. If you grew up in that era, this will sound like the radio stations of the day less the static.I actually got this set as a present for my wife, I've loaded it up on her Ipod and she's thrilled with it. A nice way to get a number of greatest hits from many artist such as Patsy Cline, The Platters, The Righteous Brothers, Louis Armstrong, Captain & Tennille, Johnny Mathis, Roger Williams, Anne Murray, Elvis, Melissa Manchester, Linda Ronstadt, and many more.Only one of the 10 discs gave me a little problem loading into Itunes and I had to type in the names/artist for each song. The other 9 found and loaded the information automatically.I paid $125 for the set which is the best price that I found, but I wish I could have found it for a bit cheaper.

I purchased these discs because I am almost 65 years old and like older music, songs which are not played much over the radio anymore, particularly in my area (I live near Cleveland, Ohio). The songs on the discs I purchased are classics, music which will live forever, even if they are seldom heard on the air. I was very happy to find these discs where and when I did, as I have just about had it with rock which is, in my opinion, noise that tries, albeit unsuccessfully, to pass for music.

Love these cds

It is a great selection of songs bringing back many memories for my husband and me. The sound quality is excellent and it is all original artists and original recordings - not remakes. This was previously marketed as "Lifetime of Romance".
