I purchased this for my father who used to have a very similar iPod Nano, as he enjoys listening to audiobooks to go to sleep to. Unfortunately the iPod slowly started to break until eventually it just packed up altogether.We've been using this for the past week or so, and its simplicity leads me to believe that this device is far superior to the iPod it has replaced. Not only is the way that you transfer songs and audio files a lot easier*, it also has a decent battery and has nearly all the features of the iPod (barring a camera but who on earth used that?)*Transferring files from an iPod required iTunes with an active apple account to be linked to, a complicated pairing and repairing process a few times because it for some reason decided to unlink and required a factory reset, and used an annoying 30 pin connector.Using this MP3 player, it's a case of drag/dropping files using a mini USB cable and then it's done. No complicated firmware and certainly no issues playing the majority of audio codecs.It comes with earphones, and although these aren't of great quality, they do the job nicely for my dad (who is getting on a bit). He has no issues with file transfers like he used to with the iPod, and is now returning to using audiobooks thanks to this piece of kit.

The mp3 player is as small as the iPod nano.Its function is similar to an iPod nano, but the micro sd card makes it easier to use than iPod, as you are not restricted to the annoying iTunes anymore. You can easily copy and paste files to and from an sd card and potentially replace it with a bigger card for extra content.The only downside of it is that it is charged via a mini usb cable.I am already replacing most of the cables in my house from micro usb to usb C, let alone a mini usb. But it's not unacceptable given its price tag and ease of use.Overall it's a good device for a very reasonable price, it would be perfect for people that do not mind using a mini usb cable for charging.

Really good value MP3 player, very usable and has great functionality for audio and video. Super easy to get your files on there, shows up as a drive on your computer and you just drop your songs in.Would highly recommend, particularly at the price point!

 Arrived on time and well packaged, instantly reminded of the late 90's technology but was exactly what I needed for my weekends away fishing. Simply drag and drop mp3 from laptop like a USB file transfer, battery lasted ages, only negative would be the earphones but was expected so using jvc gummy and sound is great quality

Great player, easy plug and play. Only thing I would say is it doesn’t actually play MP4 but that’s just a naming thing to increase search hits. If you load the correct video formats it plays ok. Screen is small so never going to be cinema quality!Overall it’s good for the price I paid.

 This device is an awesome value for money, it far exceeds the headphone sound quality of most phones except may be the LG V20, but with the price difference they shouldn't be compared. It also has voice recording, e-book reading, and also video playback (please check out the video in the review). The only disappointment was that normal MP4 files won't work, but they have to be converted to AMV first. Not a huge issue as no one will use it to watch that many videos anyways. Overall an excellent music alternative.
