I have been drinking coffee for most of my life and lately have been dealing with some acid reflux and caffeine jitters. My doc recommended chicory as a coffee substitute. I did some research and found out that there are other health benefits too, so I decided to try it. I really have enjoyed this chicory. I brew it as I would coffee and the taste is smooth and delicious. I am glad I can enjoy a late afternoon cup and not worry about being up at night. My wife is not willing to give up her coffee, but she has been adding some when she brews hers and she enjoys how it rounds out the flavor. The nice packaging is also a bonus...I don't have to transfer to a different container and I can leave it on the counter and it looks great.

The chickorey is awesome! but they get a minus for the packaging isn't great. First they put the "sale sticker' over the directions. Then the seal was so overly glued shut that I had to use scissors and now can't use the fold down tie to keep it closed.Again great product just maybe think a little more about packaging. The blue is pretty, but the small detail make a difference in repeat customer service.

This stuff is absolutely delicious. I add it to my coffee sometimes, but I'm trying to stay off caffeine so I often drink it straight. It has a slight caramel taste to it that I'm addicted to. The fact that it's healthy is just a bonus. I often add a little butter and MCT oil and throw it in my blender. Best latte ever.Will buy again. Product arrived promptly and was sealed tight for freshness.

If you like NOLA-style coffee and are looking for the right roasted chicory root to blend, then look no further. Blue Prairie has a nice dark roast and is unusually evenly ground for chicory root. It's just the right level of grind for use in a French press. It's also organic, which is important to us, and it comes in a high-quality resealable bag. It is not the cheapest chicory root on the market, but it is worth the price.

I first decided to try roasted chicory root when I started looking for a natural alternative to decaf coffee. While I love the coffee flavor, I wasn't sure about the process used to extract the caffeine, and wanted to find something that was more natural and "untouched." Chicory root was recommended to me, so I gave it a whirl. I will say that it hardly took any getting used to -- the flavor is shockingly similar to coffee, albeit a bit thicker, milder, and sweeter (if anything, you could say it improves on coffee!). In addition, you need far less to get flavor -- a heaping tsp. will easily make a strong cup, while I would need 2 T. for a cup of coffee. The drink is now my go-to for a hot evening drink.

I use this as a coffee replacement and mix in to coffee I make for my family. Like the idea that chicory is a prebiotic.

Read the calorie count before purchasing....I am not going to even open it and it's not eligible for returns. Wasted money...need to give to someone

Not the best taste. I have tried other brands that I would prefer. Having said that, the product is good quality. Just not my favorite coffee replacement flavor.
