Scratch Mat Right Armrest

All good, it’s good quality and protects our new sofa.

Bought this to protect the side of our leather sofa. It covers the corner and most of the arm side, could have been 5” longer to cover the whole side, but was easy enough to put in place, our ginger tom Milo has had a go at it and it stayed in place okay, so is doing what it was intended to do! The sisal is quite a chunky weave, so nice and sturdy, I would definitely recommend these if like us you have more than one cat and want to protect your furniture from the dreaded cat claws!

Why did you choose this product over others?: Brilliant, fits my sofa perfectly and allows my cat to have a good scratch and a stretch and not wreck the sofa. It also looks good and I’ve since recommended it to friends.

Ideal in theory, but the cats will not use it!

I love this product, both the left and right version. It really protects your sofa from your cat, and the cat loves it. I woul happily wrap the back of my sofa with the same scratchy material of I could!

Fits the sofa really well, but is very stiff so difficult to attach smoothly, it also has a very strong smell. Hopefully these will both go away with time. It could do with a top cover as well to give better coverage

I had doubts whether my cat would actually use this, but am pleased to report that after a day or two of getting used to it he now uses it all the time. We just got one for one arm of one of our two sofas to start off with. He uses this frequently and hardly ever scratches the other arms, so we haven't felt the need to buy more. Just a note on the left/right versions as I found it a bit confusing: the "left" version is for the left arm from the perspective of sitting on the sofa (i.e. the right arm when you are standing in front of the sofa looking at it!). Also, I had to extend one of the cords with a length of string to allow me to tie it properly around the rear of our sofa, but that was no big deal.
