3/4'' Shank 4''L Precision Electronic Edge Finder CNC Milling Machine Lathe

So far I have used this about a dozen times and it seems to be good with in .003". Works faster for finding center of a bore or hub than an indicator, co-axle, or the old edge finder.

Tool has lights and beeps but it has .003-.007 run out. Even in a hydraulic holder. Would be nice if they made it with a .2 or .4 ball tip. Good for setups with extra material and doesn’t have tight tolerance. Would not use to measure finish parts. Used regular edge finder to set zero. Then checked with this electric edge finder. It doesn’t measure accurate due to run out in tool. Difference was any where .001 to .005 which could cause bad parts especially if part has features that need to be balanced on part.

This sensor seems to work pretty well. However, it eats batteries like mad! I now store it with the batteries removed, which is pretty inconvenient. Also, the battery bay is very large relative to the provided coin cells, so they often flip around when being installed.

I just received the edge finder and all is well. The shank is .75 and the ball is .400. And it came with batteries. Works great for the price.

Does not beep and it was not metric. Had to order another one.
