Thierry Henry: Lonely at the Top Paperback – July 18, 2013

Great read for football fans. I have no real allegiance to any European clubs but I remember wanting to watch Thierry Henry play. This book is more than a recap of his playing career but dives deeply into the life and raw emotion of a football icon

To my surprise I enjoyed this more than the same author's Cantona book. That's not to say the Cantona biography is bad, it is however more distant and idolatry of its' subject. The book gets into the nitty gritty of his career and gives an eye opening analysis from the french point of view. There is less football analysis than in the Cantona book but its still ample and well done particularly on Henry's position evolution and his playing partners. In the end its interesting to see how Thierry's relationship with the press leads to greater analysis and vunerability. Beware the persona foisted upon the persona.

The perfect book for any fan of Thierry Henry or even just arsenal by themselves. This is well written biography of the king.

Really well written and researched as well as a writer who knows him as well as can be known...but that's the issue, Henry is an enigma who we will never understand and so the book leaves you with w feeling of... And....

Extremely interesting book that pulls you in right away. It describes in detail peraonality and life of one of the greatest football players ever.

This is a birthday gift to one of my friends, and going through this book, I think it's gonna be a great New Year gift!

I am not a big soccer/football fan,but an interesting read to give some background and personality to a rather famous player
