Olive Oil Soap Papoutsanis (12pcsx125g)

Great soap and good price. Love that this is a pure product with little additives. Great for the skin and smells nice.

Tired of dry and itchy skin and the products I tried were not helping. I did a little research and found that olive oil soap was suppose to be very good for both. Tried a few different soaps that said they were pure olive oil, but found they actually had palm, coconut or other oils added as well as other things I could not pronounce. They did smell good, but did nothing for my skin. Found Papoutsanis on Amazon did some research and discovered it only had 4 ingredients all of which I could pronounce. Decided to give it a try. Can't tell you how happy I am that I did. Itchy dry skin has gone away. I gave a bar to my 82 year old mother who was having the same problem and she is just as happy. I also gave it to my aunt and a friend and they are now using it. I know some people have complained about the smell, but all I can detect is a faint earthy smell that is gone by the time you are done drying off. It is great in the shower it does not turn to mush like other soaps and it also seems to last longer. I have used it to wash my hair and it makes it squeaky clean and leaves no scent in my hair. I have just ordered 12 more bars so that I don't run out. Can't believe how fast it got here considering it comes from Greece. Would highly recommend this soap.

I love this soap! It DOES dry out your hands... (But I've found that EVERY SINGLE Olive Oil bar soap does!) For some reason, I had this intuition to try to wash a Crystal Glass with this soap (using a dish BRUSH) and it worked SO MUCH BETTER than ANY liquid dish soap I've ever tried! I've never seen that crystal glass look so shiny and new! AMAZING! I still use the soap for my hands too. I like how clean my hands feel, but you definitely will have to lotion (or petroleum jelly - which I use) you hands afterward! I also love the natural smell. I know some people don't like the smell, but Americans are so used to highly scented soaps. Get used to NATURAL smells Americans! It's LOVELY! Earthy!

This soap is so moisturizing and silky feeling. It smells like all natural olive oil soap bars do, and I kinda like that—a natural, clean, slightly herbaceous, kinda earthy scent. It's not overpowering though and doesn't linger noticeably after rinsing. Just leaves your skin feeling moisturized, with no film or greasy feeling left behind. There is a bigger version of the bar (8.8oz vs. this one at 4.4oz), which I prefer as the thick ones tend not to melt in the shower/soap dish environment, but always take castile soaps out of packaging and store them open to the air for as long as possible before use (2-3 weeks is best). This "cures" them and makes them last longer in a wet environment. It cleanses well, is very moisturizing, a decent price comparitively, and doesn't disintegrate the way lower quality castile soaps can. I saw a couple reviews stating that this soap.. burned their skin or had some extremely drying effect? I can only assume they received a knockoff product seller with a tainted product pretending to sell Papoutsanis (unfortunately still happens on here; always check your sellers) or maybe have a previously unknown allergy to olives/olive oil. The soap only contains olive oil, water, salt and citric acid and absolutely felt like those were the only ingredients to me.

Seems nice but i used jt for two days and broke out in hives and itchy all over. Not sure if it’s just the caustic element or rancid olive oil (I doubt this) but it was not agreeable with my skin one bit.

I received this soap as a gift and it is fabulous. It leaves your skin soo soft and use it in my face and it removes makeup really good. It really is worth a try.
