Very poor for work conference calls
This phone works fine for simple phone call using handset (not speaker). But it's very poor beyond that. The speaker is too quiet to hear people well, even at its max volume. People say they can barely hear me at all when I speak in a call using the speaker / base microphone. If you pick up the handset during a speaker call it does correctly switch the call over to the handset, but then you can't later switch back to speaker; you have to hang up and dial in again on speaker. There's a mute button, but no visual indicator at all to say whether you're currently on mute or not (amazing, since there is a display screen where they could have shown this). You just have to hope the button press carried out its action, and you just have to remember what you think it did last time you pressed it. This is a total nightmare for doing work conference calls. You're never 100% sure whether you're muted or not, you need to repeatedly ask people if they can hear you, etc. I've tried to tolerate all this for a while, but just going to go buy another phone. These are pretty basic features missing here.

The hold music is nauseating and not able to be muted
If it wasn't for that tacky, loud, awful electronic hold music this phone would have been exactly what I needed. Unfortunately the hold music cannot be changed or turned off, so your customers will hear absolutely awful, loud, nausea-inducing melody beamed right into their ears. Another gripe that is probably my fault for not researching is that when you place a line on hold, the other phones on the same circuit do not show that its on hold. The sound quality is decent.

Phone not very loud
I bought this couple years ago - still got it, but I'm done with it. It has never been very loud - even with volume on High it hard to hear the speaker on hands free. I would not recommend this - on here to buy another with normal volume that you can turn up and hear.

This phone is a good two line home office phone.
Easy to use.
