Best Sun Shade I have found!
My wife is a sun bunny and I get drug to the beach on many occasions! While not a fan on the sun I do enjoy the outdoors and of course the beach has a calming effect on most. This Sun Shade works the best I have used! You can move one pole to the opposite corner and have shade as the sun crosses the sky. It's perfect in a strong breeze where the pop-up types break due to their metal frames. I also bought an extra set of poles so when the air is calm I can put a pole on each corner and have the max shade available. Great item, packs very small. Buy a child's plastic shovel from one of the box stores for a dollar to fill the "bags" and your set. Takes 5 minutes to set up by one person. Highly recommended and an outstanding company to deal with... while there is just the two of us and occasional guest I did get the family size because you can never have to much shade! Steve

Wind vs Shade: The Constant Beach Dilemma
I had skin cancer in my mid 30s so I don't mess around w the sun. I live near the beach and my kids love it so I have tried many beach shades from regular umbrellas, sportsbrellas, tents ect. I decided to give this a go this year. Takes a minute to figure out how to set it up (stretching the sand bag taut is key). On the regular days it was great shade, easy to transport and break down. The beach can be very windy and if your in a storm nothing could (or should) stay up. Take a look at my pictures and you an see what a beating the wind is giving the fabric. If it is that solid windnd you want shade, this can work. Get a shovel (toy is less ideal than real kids shovel) dig a solid hole drop filled sacks of sand and bury. The shad will shake and shimmy but not fall down. You will need to adjust poles occasionally (1-3 times an hour) and make sure the tent is facing the direction of the wind and you should be fine. We sat under our heavyly blown tent for almost 2 hours adjusted the poles a bit but for the most part relaxed in the shade. No one else on the beach even dared set up a shade

Mostly wonderful with a couple "problems"
Liked this tent very much. Got tons of attention and people taking pictures. 5 minute setup and 2 minute takedown. (I'm 71.) First 5 or so times it worked great in wind or no wind. Better with steady wind because it blows it taller. Last time we tried it we had changeable wind, and it kept blowing down on us no matter which way we put the poles. Extra poles may have helped. The disappointing part is that something fell out of one of the corners when we first set it up so the string came unattached. Easily tied it so that was OK. Also, the fabric had odd marks on it, not sure why. A little disappointing but we got our money's worth. And it was easy to pack up and carry so will use it again.

Easy to set up and reliable shade
Ok, so I really was never a beach person. BUT I needed a sun shade because my family likes the beach and I burn. Well THIS THIS IS AWESOME! It sets up in about 20 min, bring a small shovel it helps. It flops around but provides consistent shade. The secret is two fold. 1. Face the front towards the direction of the wind. It keeps it up and off if you. 2. Dig a hole and bury the bags that hold down the corner bags. We had this shelter up yesterday is some pretty strong winds in NC and it didn’t budge. I probably sold at least 4 of these to the other members of our family because they work great. I AM SUPREMELY HAPPY WITH THIS SUNSHADE and it’s made me enjoy the beach more, provides reliable shade and somewhere to sit and rest for just a few minutes while I’m not chasing the kids.

Easy to build and take down. Sand doesnt stick. Perfect
So easy to build. The people around us "wow"ed after 2 minutes of work.Sand doesn't stick to the fabric and the main bag is flexible so it was easy and clean to take down...In general. I loved it.

Def takes practice not happy with fabric discoloration
Used our sun shade for the first time today and it has weird white messed up areas in color. Pretty obvious too, not real happy about that for the price. You def have to watch youtube to get a sense of how to get this to stay up good. It def has to be TIGHT or it will blow down. I got 4 poles and its nicer that way and def use pole bags to tie around top of poles to hold in place on shade. Cant seem to use it without the four poles... it wants to fall over with just 2... also could use a toggle on end to keep string tight by bag so it doesnt loosen and let shade fall. Had this problem also. Had to tie sand bags closed. Hate the color mess upUpdate....... it does not stand up to alot of wind, mild wind fine but any strong wind it falls right over. The white discoloration is all over sand bags also now and they are all stretched out now due to putting sand in them... ok beach tent but for the price Im disappointed.

Company stands behind their product and the canopy is awesome!
The large canopy comes with the longer 7.4 foot poles and the small and medium canopy comes with short like 5.6 foot poles. Be aware of that since the ad was misleading. The company resolved the issue promptly after I thought I was getting a canopy with 7.4 foot poles and I had ordered the medium. I did not. They corrected the issue and hopefully have corrected the ad now.The canopy is well designed and seems to hold up under normal wind. We didn’t even fill the bags to the brim since it was light wind and it held up great! Everyone at the beach came up and wanted to know where we got the canopy and how we liked it. We stayed at the beach 3 hours and didn’t get burned so that’s a plus! The medium canopy holds a out 3-4 people comfortably but we did squeeze 5 under it since a few were kids. It was super easy to put up and take down. I would def recommend it!Thank you to the company who made my purchase right and went above and beyond to ensure I had what I intended on purchasing for my upcoming event!

Over a hundred bucks for a piece of stretchy fabric? Ridiculous.
All this is is a large square of stretchy synthetic fabric. Not even hemmed on the edges. And the "sand bag" anchors? THEY AREN'T EVEN BAGS! They're more stretchy fabric that you supposedly pile sand on and then try to cinch up a little. Plus, this thing is supposedly made for the beach, but if the direction you set it up to get shade from the sun is the wrong direction for a stiff breeze then the thing nearly folds in half when the wind blows. If I received it for free I still wouldn't use it.
