I used this PCMCIA interface for my 2010 Mercedes E350 and it WORKS GREAT!!!
I love my car, but it's older and lacks in certain features like Bluetooth streaming from my smartphone. I am old school and actually have all of my albums on my phone and on my PC. Since I couldn't use the music from my phone in my car, I did the next best thing, I put my music on SD memory cards (supposedly my car only accepts SD drives of 32GB or smaller, not really a problem because you can store a TON of music on a 32GB SD card, even at high bit rates) and bought this PCMCIA interface that fits my car. Works like a charm! With my COMAND interface I can stroll through the folders and select the music I want to play. Sounds awesome, no hiccups or anything. The ONLY complaint I have is that when you start your car, the system takes about 10 seconds (seems like a long time (see first picture); I'm sure it's because of the car, not because of the PCMCIA interface) before the system reads the card and starts playing the music. Again, this is only when you start the car. Going from folder to folder, album to album or song to song, there is no delay. All-in-all, this interface with two 32GB SD cards is a god send!! I can play all of my music in Dolby 7.1 through my Harman Kardon LOGIC7 surround sound 14-speaker 610-watts system. AWESOME!!! Totally recommend.

Works perfectly in my 2011 Mercedes
My 2011 Benz has that goofy PC card slot in the dash. I also have a Bluetooth dongle for streaming music from my phone. The Bluetooth is pretty good but occasionally stops working and I wanted a backup. I have a 16GB SD card from an old camera in it and it works perfectly. That is plenty of space for my music collection. It is easy to scroll through folders and find precisely the music that I’m looking for. If you have an older Benz, this is a no brainer.

Item Works as Described
I purchased this for my 2009 S550 to be able to put my music on a SD card and listen to my music. considering what I was getting ready to pay to be able to access my music this was a cost effective alternative. I received the card quickly and the PCMCIA works as described and I can now listen to all songs in my library. You may have to check your SD card because I have heard some may not work. I used a 32GB mini SDHC Card with an SDHC adapter and everything worked fine.

It works eventually. Good but not perfect.
This will work in a MB with a PC Card port. But it will lose connection. From the other reviews I bought the recommended SD Card to reduce the chance of disconnections. This wasn't the case. You'll have to eject and reinsert the card until it gets read. This isn't hard. But it will just load the first folder on the card. Every time it will do this. This doesn't happen all the time. When the card hasn't disconnected, the it will remember the folder to which you were listening. I'm not sure if an authentic card would work better. But it does work. Just not exactly as it should.

Works on 07 Mercedes
Works on 07 Mercedes. I have a macbook and in order to be able to use this PCMCIA adapter you must first format the SD card you want to use. Go to disk utility and change the format from ExFAT to FAT32(called MS-DOS on Mac). Also when transferring CDs to mp3 on a Mac you must change the import settings on iTunes from AAC encoder to MP3 Encoder. Finally when inserting the PCMCIA adapter the car only recognized the adapter when I inserted it barcode side up, I have it pictured.

bought it used and it works great.
I listen mp3 music from an SD card on my newer MB cars for years. I never paid attention that my GLK350 from 2010 can also provide that. The only difference is the older generation has a PCMCIA slot instead of a SD card slot. Only by searching on internet that I realize I just need to buy this adapter. It is cheaper than the genuine Mercedes adapter, especially since I bought it used on Amazon. Best purchase for $11 ever.

Works very well!
It's "older" technology, but works flawless. I keep the PCMCIA in the slot and just remove the SD card and switch to another. 32 GB is the maximum size, but that gives you a lot of music. I got 8 cards in the car. Cheap, simple, yet well functioning solution for older systems.
