I got this little bottle and nearly laughed, except it wasn't funny - not exactly cheap, so I was beginning to think I'd been ripped off. But then I tried it.I wet my head with a hot towel for a few minutes, put about five good shakes of this on my hand and rubbed my head all over, being sure to get behind the ears and on the neck. Then I shaved with a Mach 5. Though not as risky as an open blade or safety razor, a Mach 5 with fresh cartridge is nothing to be cavalier with. I won't say I *couldn't* nick myself, but it would be hard to... you'd almost have to be extremely careless to do it. This oil will make you an expert head shaver with no effort. Shaving against the grain? No problem. Multiple (gentle) passes to get a tough spot? No problem. Small bump or two on your head here and there? You still have to be careful over those areas but I didn't even nick those. Best of all, there was absolutely bare minimal mess. It doesn't feel oily! Shaving cream is a messy pain to use by comparison and it just doesn't work as well. And no clogging or gunking of the razor with the oil at all. Follow the directions and you will *never* go back to cream. And as for that somewhat expensive little bottle? It's going to last a long time. You'll want to use more than the label says at first, but don't. You'll think there can't possibly be enough on your head to do anything to keep you from being cut to ribbons, but there is enough. I don't know how, but it works and I love it. I haven't worked out if it's more expensive to use over cream, but I don't care. I'm sold.

No going back to shaving creams. I've used just about everything to shave my head. This stuff was just AMAZING. I would give it 6 stars if I could but, I was not jazzed about the price given the size of the bottle. I will buy this again and again but, a $11 dollar price point is more reasonable. As great as it is, I think that I'm going to attempt to create my own. The ingredients are Grapeseed oil, Fragrant and Essential oils, vitamin E, tea tree oil. I already have a few oils at home that are used in different shave oils. I may come back to this but, I think companies that make this stuff think men are more willing to buy something like this instead of creating it themselves. If you don't have the time, product is a great alternative. Not one nick using a Harry's razor. (which I use because they're affordable as well) They're not the best razor IMO but, with this oil, it gave me the best head shave I've ever had in my life.

This is my first Amazon review all I’ve been purchasing many items for many years. I purchased this specifically for shaving my head in the shower. As far as lubrication goes it does a good job you don’t have to use much of the product. My issue is that it clogs the razor excessively and that Stubble is an oily glob. It clings to the tile and the tub so I can only imagine what he’s doing to the drain my razor very difficult to clean after using this I can only imagine what it’s doing to the drain. It also seems to take a lot longer for me to shave with this then other creams or lotions due to the fact that the razor is constantly clogging

I bought this based off the reviews and the product description. I was looking for a natural oil or cream to use for shaving my head and thought this fit the bill. I was way wrong. The oil is way too thick, even after being in a hot shower for 10 mins. It junked up my blade and left my head with more cuts and nicks then I've had in the 10 years I've been shaving my head. Also, "a few drops" didn't even begin to provide enough coverage to shave my head properly, and I ended up having to use about nickel sized amount to get decent coverage. I've had better results using hair conditioner or soap.

I was worried I'd been ripped off at first, because the bottle is so small. I quickly learned a little goes a long way with this stuff - I squeeze about 3 drops out of the bottle (which has a well made drip-spout to keep it from pouring out all at once) over the course of a full head shave. After ~2 months of shaving every day, the bottle is only about halfway gone. It hasn't had any weird effects on my scalp, and the oil washes away with a quick rinse after I'm finished. The scent is pleasant and not very strong. I haven't had any kind of irritation from using it, nor any allergy-like reactions.I've already purchased a second bottle to have on hand once the first runs out, and I'll definitely be purchasing it again in the future when my stock runs low.

The product arrived on time and good condition (packaging). I have set my shaving cream aside. I have used this oil twice on my bald head. The oil provides a clean non-gummy media for my razor. The oil is light and slightly fragranced. Following the direction, I use 3 drops and it more than covers my head. This is a cleaner and faster way to shave your head. This product is my go to shave pre-conditioner. Will be a regular customer!!

I've finally found it! I've been through a lot of different products that I've attempted to buy to shave my head with. Many products just contain large amounts of fragrance or alcohol which dry your skin out. Your head feels smooth for awhile but then begins to itch. However, with Sir Hare Shaving Oil, worry no more. This stuff is AMAZING! Makes shaving really easy, and help to prevent from the blade getting stuck on your skin which causes cutting your head open. Not fun, I've had many battles with razors, and I always thought it was the type of razor I was using. But now I've found that with this oil, it makes cutting yourself very difficult.Only negative that prevents me from giving it 5 stars is that for the amount you get, it's too expensive. However, you're paying for quality here. I just wish the bottle was a little bigger.

I'm new to head shaving, but I can say that this blows traditional shave gel out of the water. Not sure how this would compare to a more specialized shave cream like HeadBlade Headslick, but regular cream/gel does not compare. I used this with a disposable razor and had the best shave yet. A little goes a long way and the smell is not overwhelming at all. Just wish it was a little bigger and a little cheaper, but still worth the investment IMHO.
