Good book for beginner!
Not a bad book for the newb of BBQ. It gives you basic recipes to start with and build upon. As a 35+ year chef and Pitmaster from North Carolina well versed in all regions of Q, not bad. The NC recipes are wrong but a good place to start and learn. I only bought since I teach BBQ and now teach at a culinary school as a resource for my students. Good buy for the newb or learner. I recommend.

Seasonings and Sauces Start HERE!
Grilling and smoking meat has become a favorite pastime for me and millions of others around the world. Everyone can learn the techniques for this type of cooking. When those techniques are mastered, there is nothing left to differentiate your results from your neighbor’s other than the flavor of the finished product. Seasoning and saucing is a pure art that is, by all means, as important proper cooking technique. Learning that art is where Greg’s book comes in handy! This book starts out by showing you a lot of great methods of seasoning your meat before cooking starting with dry rubs, wet rubs and marinades. Greg quickly follows that with bastes, mops, and glazes that are applied to your food as it cooks. When all that is done, here come the sauces that are applied after the cook or at the table. This book teaches you a lot about regional flavors from around the country and around the world. Greg has also included quite a few of his own recipes to get you started on your own flavor journey! I was fortunate enough to get an advance copy of this book so I could provide a review. I have since ordered a few more for myself and some friends!

Great tool to have
This book was everything that I hoped it would be. The recipes included in this book run the whole gamut of regions and flavors. If you are looking for a few new tricks to your barbecue repertoire I suggest you purchase this book. This book will complement any grill master’s skill set, and provide a layer of flavor to their grilling masterpieces.

Excellent cookbook
I received the cookbook for Christmas and just started using the recipes. So far they're excellent and easy to follow. I have watched Ballistic BBQ on YouTube and love Greg's videos so I was really wanting to get this cookbook. Try the Ballistic Bbq Sauce, its amazing. I see weight gain in my future but worth it!

Fantastic!
For me this is the perfect book of recipes for barbecue sauces. It doesn’t contain every sauce or rub recipe known to man, but hits some of the best ones and adds some I have not heard of. The book includes a good overview of where different tastes in the sauces and rubs originated in the U.S. All recipes are contained on one page until chapter 7 because those recipes include the cooking instructions for the your choice of meat or poultry. I found the book an easy read and it does include a few cocktail recipes if your interested in sipping while working on your meal.

I enjoyed reading this book.I will return to it often because the info is good and the rub recipes are great.The sauce recipes are also great..and there’s more.

Recipes are easy to follow and use ingredients normal people have on hand.

Book cover and inside badly damaged!
This book came damaged. I was planning on using it for a gift. I was disappointed in the condition!😢 however, I’m sure overall the book would have been nice to gift! The damage did not change what the contents of the book were. Just can’t gift it now.

Great little recipe book for the ultimate bbq
There are so many recipes here that you will probably have trouble deciding which one to pick first. Most of the ingredients are fairly easy to source in the UK but there were a couple that might need further investigation. As it's winter now in the UK my bbq is in the shed but various recipes will be cooked in the spring. Having to make use of my indoor one for now.

Really useful bbq book
Bought this to try my hand at improving my bbq techniques. The recipes are easy to follow, have try a few so far and the results were pretty good. Temps and measurements are in American, but it is easy to work out Fahrenheit to Celsius. Plus converting cups to grams wasn't a problem. Would recommend to anyone looking to up their bbq game.

Great book full of fantastic and different ideas for Sauces, Marinades and Dips ... Just a shame were on a lock down and cannot invite friends round to try them all out.Roll on Summer 😎

Quite good.
Mainly for barbecue cooking, but some good sauce recipes. Some ingredients not easy to get in the UK.Overall quite a good book.

Great reference for any BBQ enthusiast
This is a straight forward but comprehensive collection of traditional US BBQ rubs and sauces. Very handy to have them all in one volume and a good range of styles.Would recommend to any BBQ cook
