So I purchased this speaker because of the other reviews that I had seen. The long battery life and the portability were both huge positives for me. When I received my unit, I realized how great the sound quality was on this small speaker. I had enjoyed this speaker so much that I decided to get one for my father as well. Now this brings me to the downfall of the speaker. I had been using it for a few months at varying volume levels. One day was being used at a louder volume for an extended period of time and everything seemed fine. The next day I went to use it and it seemed like I was listening through a tin can. The speaker had blown. My father ran into a similar issue with his. We both have since responsibly disposed of our units. This will not deter me from using other Anker products as I have bought some other things from them since then.***UPDATE***Shortly after posting this review AnkerDirect reached out to me to find out more information about the defective speaker that I had. It was past my warranty but they really stepped up and got behind their product...They offered to send me a replacement for the speaker that I had disposed of. I can't say enough how amazing that some companies can get that behind their product. The new unit was sent right away and I received it two days later. The speaker works as great, if not better, than the original.Thank you very much Anker!

 I waited a few days to write this review to confirm my results. It is in fact working and where I had sparse thin lashes- I have noticed them filling in especially at the outer corners. I have always had long lashes but as I age they needed some help- nutriments. Can't wait to see my results after a few months. thank you for a good quality product.

Amazing quality for the price, size and support you get !! It's been two+ weeks and I love it.Some issues like switching the devices is not very easy, you will have to disconnect one and restart (ON/OFF) speaker at times to connect to another device.8/2/2016 - Update:I purchased this speaker mid 2014, it went bad in less than a year, started Muffled sound . Anker replaced quickly. Now the replaced speaker did not work for 8 months, same muffled sound with bluetooth or wired. No more warranty on this so this will be a paper weight or in trash soon. I will still give 3 starts because Anker customer service is excellent and the pricing of the speaker is reasonable..8/11/2016 Update: Attaching the photos of opened Anker Speaker., I was a bit curious to see what is in the speaker for $30 and so worked with my toddler kid to open it up before trashing.1 Product Build quality is overall good.2. Battery inside is it a folded paper lithium-ion?? it was a bit soggy/bending battery inside.3. Speaker 4W is a cheap light-weight quality , but the metal base is what makes the difference to the speaker.Will I buy this speaker again or recommend this to others? - Yes if your budget is $30~ and do not expect it to run more than 12-18 months.

I used this for a day and a half after receiving it. I paired my iPod Touch 6 with it. It worked great day 1. Mid-afternoon day 2 it spontaneously disconnected from my iPod Touch. I fiddled with it for about 20 minutes trying to get it reconnected and nothing worked (turned it off and back on, plugged it into power, unplugged it from power, had my iPod forget it and repair, everything I could think of).I pulled out an older Bluetooth speaker, and that worked (and continues to work) fine. So, on that basis, I consider it to be a faulty Anker speaker, not my iPod.I had received a "please give us a good review" email from Anker, which said that if I had any problems that I should reply to that email for customer service. I replied to that email a week ago, reporting my problems, and have had no response from them.I wouldn't buy this again, and wouldn't recommend it to others.Update: subsequent to this review, Anker contacted me, and completely satisfied my disappointment. They were friendly and eager to make sure I was satisfied. They provided a pre-paid return shipping label and replaced the unit quickly and at no charge. I now would do business with Anker again (and have)

Disclaimer - I have only been using this for one evening so far. But...I just had to write a review.This is smaller than I expected (I had not looked up exact measurements. I honestly thought it was going to be double or triple the size that it is. It's stylish looking (I got the black one) and sleek. I like that there's an audio cable option as well as the Bluetooth option. I tried the hard wired option first. One thing to note is that if you're using the wired option, the volume cannot be controlled via the cube itself (do this via the device). Over BT, however the buttons work fine.This speaker packs a PUNCH! It's not tinny at all either. I honestly, even after reading reviews, did not expect something this small to produce such good quality sound. Granted...I'm not an audiophile...but I did have a Stratus 7 Sirius radio in my car and THAT sounded pretty bad....This thing gets loud enough to not hear somebody talking right near you. No rattling that I can hear, the battery life is to be determined. Obviously on full volume you probably won't pull the advertised 20 hours. But if this thing lasts for a night of music listening between charges I will be very happy.Strongly recommend this - I will be buying more as gifts for my family members!

I don't know why this speaker is getting such great reviews. The sound was unimpressive and based on the reviews, disappointing. Maybe people have nothing to compare it to. I bought this and the "Vtin 20 Watt Waterproof Bluetooth Speaker" at the same time with the latter planned for the patio since it is waterproof. We first opened up the Anker and it was just ok. The battery died so we set up the Vtin and WOW. The Vtin is crystal clear and has real depth to the sound. I listen to classical music and I can every nuance of every instrument. I'm buying another Vtin for inside, even though it's waterproof.
