Some of the reviews were a bit negative so I have to be honest I was a little wary, but thought that worst case scenario I could send them back for a refund.I've got big feet - depends on the brand but 12.5 usually - and really struggle to get shoes that fit. It's rare that shoe shops actually have my size in stock.The fit is as expected - I ordered size 13 as there is no 1/2 size and I've put a comfort shoe liner in (made by Scholl and bought as a 3 pack through Amazon). That suits me down to the ground, but the shoe doesn't actually need any assistance in the comfort stakes.I am amazed by the quality. I have spent double the amount of money and been disappointed recently.I must be honest, I wasn't expecting much, but I'm blown away.The leather is quite thick and I'm expecting to have to wear them in - I've been wearing them for the last 8 hours and am wondering if I'll get blisters - so far so good.I've only had them for a day or so, so it's possible I could edit this review later, but so far I'm really impressed and would definitely buy them again.

For the price I paid I was not expecting too much but when they arrived and I opened the box I thought it might be a mistake ! Top, and I really do mean top quality, leather uppers (really soft leather) and stitched, yes, stitched leather soles !! , I have paid over £90 in the past for shoes like this, I only bought these for a wedding and thought they would be not used again but I think I will have these for many years, can not praise enough!

I have worn these shoes for less then a week and the tread has already worn out to the point I am slipping all over the place. There is no padding in the shoe at all, to the point it feels like it would be more comfortable to tie bricks to my feet.Yes, they look very nice and if you only need to wear them once for a wedding they will do u fine. For anything else they are a total waste of space!

Bought these shoes as my very expensive Churches had to go in for repair. I was surprised how good they are considering they cost less than my Churches cost to repair.They fit well. They were a bit hard to start with but have broken in nicely and are now very comfortable.Even if these last a year they are an absolute bargain. Will buy another pair.

here is a comfortable hard wearing pair of shoes, so I am told by he who wears them, gone are the trainers to the back of the cupboard and he has realized that his back is now well supported. I'm glad he looks smart, trainers are just for sport and not for wearing all the time, Gentlemen look better in a good pair of fitted shoes.

Excellent shoes, prompt delivery. I have bought about twelve pairs over the years and will continue to do so. I used to buy Loakes and Barbours but since finding Clifford James I have become something of a devotee. They are fabulous quality, shine to a military mirror finish and wear extremely well. I have tried the brogues which are also great, just a little fancy for a simple guy like me. That saying, two pairs of Chelsea boots are my next purchase as a compliment to the dapper personna that I am tentatively cultivating. At these prices I am exceedingly pleased.
