Great for both bathroom and travel use. I use mine daily for showers and they are so much more a absorbent than traditional cotton towels. Will definitely be travelling with these.

I'm so glad I went with my gut intuition and purchased this set. Initially, I was just going to purchase 2 separate hand towels and use one for my hair and one as a small towel while traveling. But, I figure if I purchased this set I would be saving money and also have exact matching towels.What I didn't know was how nice they feel and the fact they are a lot lighter than my other microfiber travel towels. The main reason this set is so wonderful, is because I can use the larger towel as a blanket on the airplane, a winter scarf, a shawl, and of course a towel large enough that you can even make it into a temporary dress or robe if needed. Another good thing is since this towel looks like a shawl or scarf, you can simply wear it on the plane and leave more room in your carryon.I'm not sure if I've ever been this excited about a towel before, but I am :D. Can't wait for my next trip coming up so I can use it. Yeah!

I washed them before using, air dried, found them to be soft. Used after shower, worked great. It may feel at first like you're using a bedsheet because they're so thin but they seem to wick the water away or absorb it very, very quickly. Dry quickly on the towel rack. I do think they're over priced, but I'm happy with the product so far.UPDATE After several washes and hang-drys the threads on the hems are loose. I don't really care because these aren't guest towels, but someone else might.

This towel set was one item in an order of several Turkish towels I ordered from this company a couple of months ago. There were some pulls in the bath towel, so I sent an email with photos attached to the company and the owner replied within a day, apologized and arranged to replace the towel set. Because I like the towels so much and because of such great customer service, when I go to purchase other Turkish towels in the future, Cacala will be the first company I consider.Both of these towels are very generously sized compared to "normal" (terry) bath and hand towels. The hand towel in this set is plenty big enough to use to wrap around my head to dry my (rather long) hair.As others have said in reviews, they do get softer and more absorbent with each wash. These two towels are thinner than the other bath towels I bought, and with less of a decorative fringe, so they are not my absolute favourite ones (although I really do like the hand towel as a hair towel so I do not regret buying them). Overall I would give them a four-star rating but because of the great customer service, I have bumped them up a star.The other towels I ordered were individual bath towels and they each had a weight listing for them. I found the ones that were around 8.8 ounces to be a bit on the thinner side (especially for someone who had only ever used regular terry bath towels and not Turkish towels), whereas ones that were closer to 10 ounces were thicker and felt a bit more luxurious. It would have been nice to have known the individual weights for the bath towel and hand towel in this set instead of just the total weight of 12.6 ounces.

I LOVE these towels and am building a supply for myself as well as for gifts. I live in Florida and Spring/Summer/Fall is HOT. These towels are wonderful for shower and pool time as they are lightweight yet absorbent. The difference between these and the thick, heavy "normal" towels is amazing and I have gotten a second set for myself and gifted two sets to my kids. I get a new set every time I have the extra money and will evenutallly use these exclusively. They are very large so great for the beach and pool area. They also dry very quickly so you don't have towels hanging everywhere.I put my towels in the dryer on a low setting after machine washing in cold water and they are still great. Highly recommend. Especially if you live in a warm weather climate.

I purchased 2 of these in the grey shade. It is like a standard flat cool grey color. (Obviously) not your traditional poofy cotton terry towel, so don't expect that. I would liken the fabric to close to something light a cotton tapestry. It did get slightly softer with a few washes but the cotton is naturally rougher than other blends. I like the stripes on it, and the tassels are a decent length of ~2.5 inches.Cons:The fabric is rough even after the first few washes and dryes.The tassels come unraveled a little if you don't retie them every other wash or so.Pros:Didn't shrink after washing and drying ( wash cold, dry medium or hangout on the line).No fade (yet?).Dries quickly by air (~4 hours when damp).Folds/rolls very compactedly for easy packing or travel.Large sizes! Like a beach towel and a large kitchen towel.Doesn't stain easily.Some brands might be more soft, but these are alright. I wanted to test run these 2 sets to see if I wanted to use them throughout my house. I am not sure that I will because of the texture. I have had them for 2 months, and washed them 6 times. They remain semi-softened, but not as much as others had claimed.
