Solo canoe with tripping capabilities
Great design. This boat is amazing. Recently paddled 100 miles on the buffalo river and was very happy with the performance. I carried full camping provisions in the boat. When paddling unloaded this boat has the touch advanced paddlers love. I removed the seat spacers that position the seat low. This does make the boat more unstable. The lean is quick but it settles in after a few inches. As a solo paddler in class 1 or 2 rapids you can play and maneuver at will. This boat works well with a single blade in WW or with a kayak paddle in the flat. With the kayak paddle this boat moves out. The speed is amazing. With the slight keel, it tracks like a wizard, but it does not effect it in the WW. Loaded, the boat is much more stable, and you still have great touch. The only downsides, takes in water about class 2, not much freeboard with a loaded canoe. any significant water volume and it comes in over the gunwales.

Nice Little Canoe
Very happy with this canoe it's sturdy and light weight 49 lbs. I can handle it fine by myself and have plenty of room to fish out of it. The canoe was shipped quickly and very well packaged arrived without a scratch on it. Iv'e been using a stadium chair for a backrest that really helps. This canoe can be easily customized.

Versatile canoe and ideal fly-fishing platform!
I am an avid fly-fisherman and regularly use this small boat as the perfect fishing platform while pursuing trout and bass in various freshwater ponds and lakes and also in the salt-water while chasing striped bass and bluefish along the coat of MA. I prefer to use a kayak paddle and an elevated backrest type seat when using this one-person canoe and find that it provides me with a. comfortable seat/position for all-day fishing. This canoe replaced my Heritage brand sit inside type kayak and I love it. No comparison as this canoe offers the fisherman plenty of room and a stable casting platform from which to make long casts and or troll as necessary depending upon the style of fishing and particular quarry. It is in many ways an ideal fishing/crabbing boat for both the fresh and salt-water environments that I frequent along the coast of Southern New England.

Great Canoe
Excellent, well balanced, tough yet light. It handles scrapes in rapids without damage. I went over a 4 1/2 foot waterfall successfully and only took in some water over the gunnels. The bow did not go under! I am very pleased with this purchase.

Shipping is an issue.
The design is great. I loved the 500 lb weight limit for cargo and, well, over sized paddlers such as myself. I couldn't wait to receive and try the canoe out. Unfortunately, it was damaged by the shipper, twice, with a fork lift and had to be returned. Amazon was out of this model at the time so I got a refund for my return. I was able to get the same model in another color from another source though and it's simply wonderful. Much more stable than I imagined. Unfortunately, a combination of arthritis and the fact that the gunwales are higher than a kayak kept me from being able to easily get into the canoe. I will keep developing my mounting skills though. I added an extra thwart aft of the seat so I could mount some stabilizers for fishing. I also added a strap on seat with back support. I'm ready for the summer now ! Overall, a lot of fun. Enjoy this canoe.

Great Solo Canoe & Excellent Customer Service
Got this canoe in just a few days after ordering it. I did find the seat a little lower than my liking, So I removed the metal spacers & add longer screws now its perfect. I don't recommend this modification for anyone that hasn't had much experience it's little tippy. Customer service is excellent great communications with the seller... Cedar Creek Outdoor Center is awesome!!!

Just not what I expected from such a well known company name.
I did not expect the seat to be so low that I cannot put my knees on the bottom for enhanced stability in rough conditions while putting my feet under the seat using the seat for butt support as I have in other canoes. Also I have not been able to find ANYONE who can answer my concern about the buoyancy of the canoe if swamped. Do I now have to buy and outfit it with air bags???

Lots of fun
Light weight, easy to handle, fits in my front room, lots of fun. Seems well made and durable. The seat is placed only 6 inches from the floor so a backrest is necessary. I made a booster seat of 3 1x10x12inch planks fastened together to 2.25 inch high. It weighs 10 pounds to keep center of gravity low.
