FULL SPEED AHEAD, MOM!
I searched all over the internet and Amazon for these to replace two batteries in my 94-year-old mother-in-law's electric "Pride Mobility" wheelchair. Every night she lamented to me how her wheelchair was conking out after just one trip from her room to the dining hall in the Senior Center, a distance of almost half a city block, even taking the "short cut" through the left hallway (not the right), forcing her to anxiously creep back to her room at half-speed in order to wait for the wheelchair to re-charge before heading back out for lunch and dinner. Soon those races became a crawl, as the old batteries, which were installed by a Medicare contractor, held less and less of a charge, and Mom was NOT happy. So she pleaded with me, her favorite engineer Son-In-Law, to get her good batteries so she could drive to the dining hall and elsewhere without worrying about getting stuck. (All kidding aside, these electric scooters are real life-savers for Seniors and others who need and value their freedom and mobility.) After discovering Power Sonic and reading up on their high quality US-based design, I ordered two of them from Ace Comp Solutions in New York. Alas, they arrived late and damaged due to the USPS Holiday crunch and winter storm. After explaining what happened, Ace promptly and courteously shipped me new two replacements at no cost to me, and both arrived promptly and fully charged and were installed and now the chair last a "long, long time" according to the Mom-In-Law! She is again happily speeding up and down the hallways at the Center and elsewhere at full charge all day long, enjoying her freedom once again. Now if she would only get a horn to keep from running over the other Seniors...!
