YoYoInk Remanufactured Ink Cartridge Replacement for HP 950 XL 950XL (2 Black; 2 Pack)

First pack worked for about 50 pages then caused an error, the printer said it was broken. These are not recognized as HP ink (some aftermarket have a "fooler chip" that makes the printer think they are real - these ones DO NOT).Second pack seems to be working, but I've only done about 20 pages with it.

Had to remove and install it twice for the printer to recognize it, but for the last month it has functioned fine.

I ordered these back in September, exactly ten months ago today. The first cartridge was half full when it failed, earlier this week. Went to put in the second cartridge, which was brand new and I had just pulled out of the plastic wrapping, and it didn't even work. Got the same exact result with the new one...my 8600 Pro shows Cartridge Failure. This is why you can't trust these off-brand cartridges. Oh sure they might work for a while, but you just can't trust their longevity. You might pay more for an officially branded replacement from HP and the like, but at least they last all the way through until the ink is gone without leaving you hanging in the wind ordering replacements.Update: I got the second new cartridge to work. I have an HP 8600 E-Plus All In One, so if that's your model printer as well this might work for you too. What I did was pull out the old cartridge, close the door and then hit OK on the screen without it installed. It ran through a few sweeps, then another screen came up about leaving the printer turned on until a new cartridge was installed in order to prevent damage to the printer. Not wanting to do that, I installed the second (new) cartridge I opened last week, closed the door and hit OK again. Came up working without any errors and I was able to print a test page. That's all well and good, but I already ordered a genuine HP replacement and from now on I'm still never buying re-manufactured off-branded cartridges again. The first one still failed while it was half full, and it's probably because the chips in these things are Chinese junk.

Let me start by saying this: I PRINT A LOT! I do not like to read off of the monitor and I prefer to retain a tangible copy of things I feel are print-worthy. In saying this, obviously, I run out of ink a LOT. I have tried replacement ink from various companies only to have the cartridges rejected by the printer, leak inside my printer, or be so watery they weren't even useable. The ink for my HP OfficeJet 8600 Pro from this company (HP 950XL and color, as well) is extraordinary. I can not tell the difference from HP ink. I can print whatever I want without worrying about whether it is worth its weight in HP ink (or gold...pretty much the same) I continue to click that "buy it again" button as soon as I see that "Ink running low" message because I have already been down the other avenues of the alternatives. Don't waste your time. This is the diamond in the rough. Hope this review helped ya. P.S. If you can, get the XL version of your ink cartridge. I ordered two cartridges. the first cartridge worked just fine. The second one will not work, no matter how many times i re-install the cartridge. I absolutely hate to pay HP prices, but it looks like I will be in the future.

Great product, quality ink, cute packaging, and coupons! Doesn't get any better. I'll be staying with YoYoInk. Saving money is a priority for small businesses. We get the same life with these cartridges as we do with the expensive name brand stuff! Will definitely be a regular customer! I also love the 2 year guarantee on their products - you can't go wrong there!

They worked for a while, then one leaked and finally I had to replace the print head. I don't trust these reman cartridges anymore.

I purchased the YoYoInk950XL cartriages to use in my HP 8600 printer. I have tried both cartridges the printer does not recognize either one and I have not been able to use them to print.The OEM cartriages have a chip in the back upper left that engages the printer onboard computer. As others have reported here, the OEM chip is flush with the casing as shown in the 1st photo, while the YoYo Ink Cartridge has the chip secured by what looks like a button that protrudes about about 1. mm, as shown in the second photo and and evidently causes the cartridge to be unable to engage the proper connections or alignment.Regretfully will have to return these.
