ClearClick HD Video Capture Box Silver - Capture 1080p/720p Video from HDMI Sources & Gaming Devices - No Computer Required

I have this unit hooked up to my VCR with HDMI output to upconvert old home movies to digital. So far, it has worked pretty well. My only complaint is that it freezes up from time to time, but I think that's caused by the signal from the VCR because it's only happened when there's static on the screen. Other than that, I'm extremely happy with this little device.

Using this to make local recordings of livestreamed content. Recorded quality is quite good, though there's the slight inconvenience of having to post-process the multiple files into a single file. Great to have a loop-through, full size HDMI connection, and ability to use as a USB reader to offload the micro-SD card recordings is clever.The buttons for adjusting the settings on the box are pretty low quality, but it all works. At the price, this isn't a bad little box, but def. not "pro grade".

I have been using the ClearClick for about a month now and it has worked perfectly every time. I capture at the lowest resolution and it looks great on my 65 inch 1080p screen. The only caveat is that you have to stitch the files together if you run longer than 35 minutes (low res). Great system altogether.

I ran some tests on this capture card and this is what happened.1. On some TVs you have to wait on the device to power up before you plug the output to tv. Have no idea why but to my toshiba wouldn’t work with the device, however Samsung TVs.2. It freezes up when it gets warm and the only way to unfreeze is to reset the device. I don’t know how many times I had to reset.3. It would stop recording in the middle of game play, even with space left on the sad card.4. To pause/continue recording you have to press the down button and sometimes after multiple takes the timer will stop working so you don’t know if it’s recording or not.When the device works though it takes really good quality videos. It’s just too much hassle for me to use this, not reliable and I feel I would have to carry around a paper clip since I use the reset button like a normal button.

Love it. Wish the battery life was longer, but essentially its what i was looking for a long time - a small affordable screen with recording function from my pro camera while im shooting photos. And i specifically wanted one that writes compressed mp4 ideos instead of prores or what not.. does what it needs. Just wish it had removable battery system

This little recorder does a good job of recording 1080p video with audio. Loop-through hdmi signal is clean and solid.

So far I like it. I use this to transfer videos from my camera to micro sd only wish it didn't chop the videos into separate files other wise it's great and is what I was looking for.
