Awesome
Whole Earth Supply is my new go-to for knife blanks. With amazing customer service and amazing products, you can't be more than pleased with your product. This knife is the s***. Take it out with you on your next woodland adventure; if you're into bushcraft, this knife is going to do you worlds of wonders. Note, please know how to sharpen 1095. None of those cheap pocket sharpeners, I mean the real deal. This knife is amazing and I will continue to use it for years to come.

Well designed and produced blade
Unfortunately, I mistook this item for a complete knife with handle. Upon closer inspection, I noticed the title said blank and a close up of the picture shows there is no handle or wrap. I was a bit disappointed when the item arrived w/o even a handle wrap.

Good blade
It's a great knife ...a little disappointed by the filet edge..was done with a quick and heavy hand but other than that ..good feel in the hand

Not well made.

Worth the $50
Solid piece of steel. Good chopper, sharp but not great out of the box. This is a blank but all you really need is some paracord to wrap around the handle and you have a decent piece.

Very disappointed. Steel not hardened.
So very disappointed. Two different styles sold interchangeably, blade grind is awful, and steel only hardened to 45 RC.I took great advantage of the “free returns” policy to try to get a single good one of these blades. In my attempts, I ordered a total of 5. 3 were of the style with the decorative jimping on the top of the handle. The other two were thicker stock - by at least 1mm - but did not have any jimping. It’s total chance as to which blade style you’ll get.The condition of the sharpened edge on all pieces was poor: very asymmetric, very coarse grind lines, huge burr remaining on one side, etc.Long long story short, it was not until I had spent hours custom making scales that I made an effort to work on the blade itself. I started with a file and found that it cut the steel quickly and easily, which should not have been the case with a hardened edge.I have a machinist friend who is very into blade making and who owns a legitimate, calibrated Rockwell hardness tester. I used it on this blade in several places and it measured 43-45 Rc.I thought I was going to save money and make a knock-off full-size Tracker. No way to realize that plan unless I also could put some sort of legitimate temper on the blade. Not happening.Since I had already done a bit of file work, I’m stuck with a blade I’m not sure what to do with. Maybe a garden weed digger...Better to buy a lawn mower blade and be further ahead.
