Purchase two of these for my wife and i on September 9 2015. October 28 2015 neither work properly. Takes a charge, starts to charge device then charger quits working. Will not work again until plugged back in to wall to recharge.

It doesn't take that long to charge this item and it does charge my kindle and iPhone really quickly if I use the connection on the right hand side. My only comment is that it is heavy but considering it does the job I guess I can live with the fact that it is heavy.

handy for when your power goes out - keeps communications devices going very well :-) Also used on a recent camping trip - very handy.

This charger met all my expectations and all my needs.

All right, so I've had this little thing for a little while now and I'm very impressed.--Size: You can see the measurements above but I can describe it as nearly the same footprint as my Nexus 5 and about twice as thick. I've carried both in one pocket and it's comfortable, if you don't try to sit down of course.--Instructions: I was having a head cold and just couldn't read the instructions so, like so many times before, I said, "heck with it," and I dove in anyway. First thing I did was plug the USB cable into the slot on the unit and then I plugged it into my phone. Nothing happened, no lights and no charging. Well, after some fiddling about I figured out that there was a power button under where the lights are. I pushed it and the lights flashed (I always love flashing lights on electronics) and the phone indicated it was charging. Success! Anyway, I went back later when I could focus again and saw that all the answers to my questions were right there in the instructions. I recommend reading the instructions first. ;-)--Sturdiness: Well I came into my office this morning to find it on the hardwood floor where it had fallen in the night. No problems after that fall, though, so I'm pleased with that.--Battery life: I'll tell you what I know so far, it came charged up and I've been trying to discharge it since. I haven't had it for long but I've recharged my phone a few times *and* charged my kindle with it. So it looks like I'll be able to rely on it when I travel away from home.Oh! Almost forgot. I emailed the company and they got back to me very quickly. In the back and forth I learned about a feature that didn't make it into the instructions. If you use the right hand USB port it's double the speed of the other one. Nice.************************************************ EDIT************************************************So, yeah, I've had this for about a month now and it's still useful. Also it is sturdy as I've accidentally dropped it from a height 3 different times and it's still working the way it should. Again also, my partner likes it so much she purchased one also. In fact she's kind of hacked off that when she will write a review from her account it won't show her as a 'verified purchaser.' She is concerned that her review won't be taken as seriously as mine is.She, my partner, takes it with her to work and uses it to charge her phone when it runs out of juice in awkward places. Sure there are outlets everywhere but what if you don't have time or you're not in the place to leave your phone plugged in for hours. What if you're hiking/boating/driving/picnicking/ or something else along those lines? This is perfect in those situations. Seriously I'm telling people about this and how cool it is.

The item came fully charged, which was a nice touch. (thanks again Bright River!) Most electronics you have to charge fully before using the first time. The directions were a little confusing to me at first, but the customer service gal was super friendly and walked me through some tips. I've used the charger several times for my iPhone and my iPad and it's STILL going. I haven't recharged it yet. So this will definitely be a great item to have during storms or to take camping. It's a smidge heavier than I thought it would be, but that's my preferences, not a knock on the item. I haven't needed to use the flashlight other then to play with a few times, but it will be a nice addition if/when the power goes out.
