Perfect for monarch butterflies.
Had a successful season with monarchs. Once I noticed butterfly laying eggs I immediately put my plants inside these and they did great. So far I've released 35 and have 12 crystalis to go. Now I'm putting my depleted plants inside so they can regrow to support another round of larvae later this year.

Great product
This is a great habitat! I have it on top of a roller for planters so I can move it outside when it’s not too cold for the butterflies

Awesome price
Love the size.Dislike that when you unzip it, its hard to maintain upright. This makes it hard to clean. I raise Monarch butterflies.

Just the best for observation of my butterflies

Not true to form
The zipper runs all along one top edge and down one corner edge. The zipper seems to not be as stiff and sturdy and allows the structure not to hold its true shape. One corner will buckle.I have been able to use it with milk weed to support lots of monarch butterfly. But I Have to use Extreme Caution when opening and closing the zipper across the top Edge..... The Monarchs like to form their Chrysalis on a slim piece of material that is part of the zipper. They seem to have a preference over hanging from the netting...?

Ok for price; kinda floppy.
It’s what it looks like. Not bad for the price.Kinda floppy, so I built a frame to go inside of it and weighted the bottom so I could keep it on my porch without it bending all out of shape and flopping over in the wind.

It's tall and will accomodate tall plants
I'm raising Monarch butterflies from the eggs they deposit on my milkweed plants. I want to help increase their population and their migration numbers so raising them in an enclosure protects them from predators.Pros: #1- It's tall and will accommodate plants much taller than the one in the photo#2- the price is reasonable, especially since it can be used over and over again.Cons: #1- It has no zipper protection to keep caterpillars from being killed while on the zipper. You can't see them from the front so check all angles before you use the zipper.#2- It doesn't come with any kind of floor lining/protection as some other enclosures do, nor does it offer one for sale. Anything you put in there will sit on the netting. It would have been wise to include a sheet of washable plastic with the enclosure, pre-cut to fit the 20"x20" floor. I cut a rubbery drawer liner to protect the "floor" and to catch debris, and caterpillar frass (poop). I also sat my milkweed plant on top of an upside down wire drawer to add a bit of height so I could clean the debris by lifting the wire frame (and everything on it) to clean.#3- it's hard to fold down to the way/size it came packaged. Not necessarily bad because the wires are strong. I'm determined to figure it out when Monarch season is over. I don't regret purchasing this.
