VBROS 2" Stretched 4 Gallon Gas Fuel Tank For Harley Sportster EFI XL 1200 883 2007 2008 2009 2010 2011 2012 2013 2014 2015 2016 2017

I bought this tank while building a Harley Sportster bobber. The tank fits great and looks even better. I had purchased another tank years ago from eBay and it was garbage. It didn’t fit right and came with a dent next to the fill hole. I couldn’t be more pleased with this tank. It came in a box with lots of padding and the Prime shipping is legendary.Be advised, this tank needs to be sealed (I used Kreem Tank Seal kit) to prevent the inside from rusting. This is normal, any tank you buy is like this, but I always remember my first custom tank experience. I didn’t know about sealing tanks and I dealt with rust and clogged jets. It was terrible.Also, the outside will need a little prep before painting (whether it’s you or a pro painter), which is also normal.I just don’t want anyone to buy this and think it’s ready for use right away.

Pros-It’s sealed well enough to pass a 20psi pressure test. The welds look clean enough to skip the grinding step. Spine is nice and straight.Cons-Came with a pretty deep scratch that will require filler before paint prep.Dirty inside and out.Lots of sharp edges to clean up.Breather is on the wrong side of the tank bottom, but that’s minor.You defiantly get plenty of bang for your buck on this tank. I’d buy it again.

Tank looks great. Buyer beware though, it’s does come with a cap but it’s not a GAS cap. It’s just a cover. Also the overflow fuel valve is on the other side of tank. Which means you’ll need a longer tube, therefore you have to replace it. Seller should rewrite the heading and remove the Gas cap.
