Richard Scarrys Best Collection Ever! 10 books collection. What do people do all day?... and other stories. Paperback – January 1, 2017

I purchased these books for one of my grandsons. They provide hours and hours of education and entertainment. I will purchase them for my other grandson soon. They provide hours. They are a great value for the money.

Bought this set for our toddler and he loves them - but we noticed that these appear to be British English which led to some unexpected surprises for us (Americans). (Garbage truck vs dustcart, breakdown truck vs tow truck, etc) He didn’t notice and we had a chuckle! Overall still recommend as this is a great value vs buying individually.

I’d forgotten how wonderful the artwork is in this series. You’ll love them.

Richard Scarry died in 1994 at the age of 74 - his books have brought so much joy to children & adults of all ages - I bought our first Richard Scarry - Cars & Trucks & Things that go - he was 3 years old and we spent hours looking for “Gold Bug” for a week at the lake - now he just turned 50 and - his children searched for “Gold Bug” and I bought Richard Scarry books our neighbor’s boys and that is 3 generations of Richard Scarry books that will continue to search for “Gold Bug”😊

This is a phenomenal value. They are missing a few pages each story from the original giant hardcover books. But these are slightly smaller (small enough to fit in a standard lamination sheet). I cut the spines off these, laminated and spiral bound them so my twin toddlers can read these without ripping pages in their room at night (or in the car). It’s been perfect for that. They love reading and love books but paper pages still get damaged.

Love the stories and are , but these ones are smaller than the originals and the content seems to have been squished to make it fit on the smaller pages. Also readers should note that some vocabulary is different than the American version, such as "ironmonger" on the hardware store and "lorry" for truck. Still, the illustrations are adorable and the stories are timeless.

Can’t wait to read them to 5 year old

I got one Richard Scarry book for my baby shower and from there I was hooked! I was just floored at how educational they were (they just have so many words for things that I would never even think of to show my kid), so I decided to buy the 10 pack, and when they came, I was just so pleased! They are all super informative - good for teaching kids reading and spelling, and have really cute illustrations. You can tell that this is the stuff that helps kids learn - not like most of the new stuff that's out.
