If it hadn't broken with the second use I would have given it more stars. I've had this type before and liked it.

It worked really good the first two times I used it. But then it broke the fourth morning I had it when I was pumping it with my road bike. It still shows how much air I have in my tires, but doesn't let me pump air into my tires (which defeats the purpose of it). Plus, it broke when I'd only pumped about 70 psi into my tire. Granted, it was only 20 bucks; but 20 bucks is still money that you've invested in something with good expectations. My expectations were not met, and I'm completely unimpressed.

Sadly, it broke on my first attempt to use it. I pulled it out of the box to use to inflate a flat tire on my little wheelbarrow (the tire is a little, fat thing) and as I tried to put the nozzle head of the pump onto the air nozzle of the tire, it snapped right off the hose! So much for that. Never even got in a first pump of air. So, I can't speak to how well it actually pumps air into anything. Sigh.I have another foot pump that I love (I got it from Wal-mart over a decade ago) and love it, use it all the time (for my car tires more than anything), and so I wanted to get another for home as well as my car. This clearly doesn't fit the bill...my search will continue.

good for car tire's, but suck's if you try it on a bicycle !

Item broke the first time we used it. The air nozzle at the end of the hose -- the portion you clamp onto a tire to lock -- snapped off the hose immediately when I tried to close the clamp. Very cheap construction. And there was no way to repair. We returned for refund.Also, and it may say this on the packaging, but I'd recommend NOT allowing children to use this pump. The way it's designed to be used, fingers and toes could easily be pinched.

I don't know why anyone uses hand pumps. This is so easy to use and with the built in pressure gauge I get my tires perfect every time.

I ordered this item early May and used once in May. It worked good. However when I used it the second time in June metal ferule section (the metal part of the end of the hose to be attached to a tire) just broke off while pumping. So I tried to return this item, but unfortunately it was a few days after the returning period when it broke - that means I had to pay $16.97 for pumping air into my bicycle tire just once!

Bought the pump as a gift. Disappointed to find that the pressure gauge does not function at all and there is a leak in the fittings between the pump, gauge, and hose somewhere. Frankly, I should have supported my local bike shop rather than be out the money, time and return shipping charges to get it replaced. Note to self, "you get what you pay for."
