cute, well made except the insert
Cute pot; smaller than I thought, 1200ml is a little over a quart; about a 6 cup coffee pot size. But that's OK; I can make concentrate and it will provide all the tea we want. The cozy is a thoughtful addition. Most folk want a second cup, and glass pots don't hold heat. The glass is average thickness; the plastic around it will make it more durable. I looked for a stainless steel one (my criteria being an insert for loose tea) but couldn't find one, so was happy to get an attractive and practical jacket with it. It's a well made jacket, nylon over foam insert; large plastic zipper looks durable and is easy to use. My only real complaint and disappointment with this pot is the insert. I mix teas and have a small collection of broken tea balls. The problem here is there is a solid welded handle over the top to pull the insert in and out. It doesn't lie flat or move out of the way. So putting tea in is going to be a pia; dumping it harder with the handle holding onto the wet mass of leaves. Whoever designed it obviously doesn't use loose tea in an insert. Since the insert was the reason I was looking for a pot, I'm not happy with this feature and marked down for it as a flaw. The first time it gets in my way filling or emptying, will break it off. That will make pulling it out of the pot harder when it's hot, but maybe easier to deal with than a stuck mass of tea leaves you have to poke at to remove.Note comment below by the company. They contacted me and said they are revising the insert and will send to me when it comes out! Now that is customer service premium!

Great Teapot!!!
Was looking for a large teapot (at least 1200ml) to prepare loose leaf tea. Had been using a single cup infuser for about a year, but wanted to be able to prepare several cups at a time. This does the job very well and meets my needs and expectations 100% (and I paid full price). Suggest checking your tea kettle capacity first. I found that mine was 1250ml, so this teapot was a perfect match for my kettle. I almost bought a different 700ml teapot on this site, but I am glad that I checked the capacity first. I would have been disappointed with the smaller size. The design is nice and somewhat resembles the Bodum French Press that I use for coffee. Similar glass and black plastic handle and lid. It's a no brainer to operate and easy to clean.I read some other bewildering comments before purchasing this teapot, so I will attempt to set the record straight. This is a teapot for steeping loose leaf tea, not a tea kettle for boiling water in. You will also need one of those or something to boil the water in.The tea strainer is simple to clean. Just turn it upside down under running water for a few seconds and you are done. Use the sink sprayer if necessary. No need to reach inside past the handle to clean it.The pot will drip if you pour too quickly. Just slow down a little bit and enjoy the relaxing tea experience! My pot arrived intact, nothing broken or cracked. It was packed well, and I believe that the black neoprene cozy added some additional protection for the shipping process. The glass and plastic is well designed, good finish, not cheap looking, and feels durable. No less so than my French Press. But I wouldn't go dropping it or smashing it into something. For making loose leaf black or darjeeling tea in this pot, I have found that 4 teaspoons of loose leaf is just about right. For making green tea with gunpowder green tea pearls, I use two teaspoons. They are much more dense, but swell up when steeped to the same level in the strainer (about 1/3 of strainer when drained) as 4 teaspoons of coarse loose leaf.

Cute and almost perfect. Practical.
This was chosen out of all. It says something about it.Its clean, nice, sweet, easily washable, quite practical. Its nothing different than the pictures.I just started using it, so I cannot say much besides what I see in its young age being with us in this household. It serves the purpose.I would say that the glass itself should be a tiny thicker. In a way I think the glass is a bit thin, (I am not an engineer, so I am not sure if it is really a problem.) and the black well done plastic frame should have something more to keep the bowl in the its frame so it shouldn't make the user worry that the glass bowl might fall out (when pouring the last bit drop of hot, warm or cold liquid) of its black frame. The glass itself on top is wide open. Its only the black rim with the official cover in the middle on top that covers the glass, which means its all there snapped in a way that it can be easily taken out - which feels too weak when pouring out the last bit of this nice bowl. But I still chose this Glass tea pot over the others that I have seen on Amazon, because this is still the best choice for its category in my honest and humble opinion. It also comes with a "jacket" to keep the liquid warm for a longer time, and there too things aren't perfect. The zipper is in the front, so the handle of the zipper hangs sort of in the way when pouring. Over and all its still a nice and almost perfect tea pot.Anyone reading, If you like my review please let me know :-)

Nice little teapot, cozy does not work that well.
I purchased this for my husband to use since he has become a fan of brewing loose leaf tea. It's very cute, and, very small in appearance. It holds about 1200 ml of liquid, so it's fine for a few cups of tea in china teacups, or 2-3 mugs. He really wanted a teapot that could be used over a tea light warmer, but I ordered this instead thinking it would do for him. He likes it, but says the tea cozy is not that effective at keeping the pot warm. He told me he wants to glue orange or green reflective strips to the cozy and make it look like a safety vest :-).The plastic frame around the teapot works very well as both a handle and to rest the pot on the table. The strainer insert has plenty of capacity, is easy to fill despite the thin, fixed wire bail that serves as a handle and is easy to empty as well. The teapot spout works just fine for pouring out the tea, and the plastic lid stays put when you pour. So, the only con, per my husband, is the tea cozy jacket. Aside from that, he's very pleased with this teapot.

Great quality teapot - sturdy and stylish on my office desk
This teapot is very sturdy - much better quality than I expected considering the reasonable price and it looks stylish at my desk at work. The tea strainer can be removed easily so that the pot can be used with loose leaf tea and tea bags and the "wetsuit" tea cosy looks cool. I have docked one star as I don't quite agree with the non-spill and I find that the tea comes our more easily than expected when I move it. The wall of the pot does not curve much before the spout and small shaking movements such as lifting it when it is full or walking from the office kitchen without spilling is somewhat more difficult than usual with this pot. Not a big problem - just good to be aware. It pours well, no pools of liquid forming on the table while pouring, but I do find that it drips a little (2-3 drops) towards the end of the pour when moved into an upright position.

14 day review
Beautiful teapot, the stainless steel basket and glass bowl are easy to clean but needed to get used to tucking the teaspoon under the handle, which would be more convenient if offset or on a hinge? Otherwise the tealeaves spill over the top when adding.. the jacket is useful for keeping the brew warm after the leaves are removed however pot is not a good poorer unless you hook it over the teacup and the tea can spill down the front under the jacket and the zip is at the spout side. Overall a great concept but needs further refinement.

After arrival, I cleaned it, brewed myself a potful of Lady Gray. Sat enjoying my tea, then went online and ordered a 2nd one!I love this little teapot - it holds about 3 cupfuls of my preferred cup size, and with the cosy it stays nice and hot for all 3 cups.I love the way it comes apart easily for cleaning - the reason I ordered a 2nd one, is in case one is in the dishwasher! It is a nice compact size, feels good in the hand and pours nicely - I cannot ask for more in a teapot!

Nice pot the only downside was that the small internal tea holder has the wire loop fixed in the upright position so a bit messy when refilling loose tea leaves. Would have got five stars if it moveable
