A wonderful first volume, absolutely hilarious!
This is the first of what I hope to be many tankobon in this series, and it feels as though the author perhaps wasn't entirely confident of getting this far. That being said, the premise and gags are just wonderful. The translation is great, even managing when one of the jokes is about the main character speaking English, and the quality of the print is really nice.I am really looking forward to more in the series, and anything else from the author. The only detraction from this first tank is that the characters are not terribly well developed yet, but that only builds my expectations for the future! My wife found it hilarious as well, and was laughing from start to finish.

Great story and artwork, oh and its bloody hilarious, you'll love it.
This is by far one of the funniest manga I have read in a long time. Obviously each person will have different tastes but I recommend you give it a try, and if you dont like it then pass it on to someone you know that would. Sharing is caring 😊The art work is great and its such an easy read. I can't wait to see how things develop in the next 3 books that I have (currently all that have been released in English at time of review)I will be following Kousuke Oono's work from now on.

Fun and easy read!
A very entertaining and unique look at an ex-yakuza turn househusband. This hilarious collection of shorts highlight the very different mentality he brings into the everyday world we see. I love the characters and the ease in which you can dip in and out of the book. The dark contrasts to pre and post make it hilarious how much he has actually In many ways mellowed out. Am really looking forward to reading more.

Great fun.
Very well set out. You get all the information you need about the characters without info dumps, the action and comedy are both brilliant and fit in with the story. You really come to care about the cast and want to know what happens next.

Short but so much fun.
It would have been nice to have a connecting storyline over the course of the whole novel, but a bunch of snippets is cute, too.The characters are really sweet. The whole thing is surprisingly wholesome.

Amazing manga
This has been one of the main manga I’ve been looking forward to reading and it didn’t disappoint, it’s really enjoyable and I highly recommend you give it a try. Unlike some manga it came completely undamaged which is nice because I do like to collect manga and like them to be in as good condition as possible.

Hilarious manga
This manga is hilarious, I already got the second volume and I think I’ll get all of them while I wait for the rest of the anime episodes to be released. The only differences between this and Japanese printed manga are the size (these are bigger) and the paper stains your fingers black which Japanese language manga don’t. I highly recommend this manga if you want to read something light and funny without a complicated story and tons of characters.

fofinho, aconchegante e hilário!
"the way of the househusband" é uma obra MT boa, e com certeza será (ou já é) uma das minhas coleções favoritas. um mangá que conta a vida de um antigo membro da yakuza (que ainda acaba envolvido com algo da mesma ao longo dos acontecimentos) que acaba seguindo sua vida como dono de casa. pra você que curte comédia, e, bom, yakuzas que se tornam donos de casa, com certeza irá amar esse mangá <3.

How a yakuza became a househusband!
Once a fierce Yakuza known as “the immortal Dragon”, Tatsu has chosen to walk a different path now—the way of the househusband. He is very meticulous in everything he does, whether it’s meal preparation, laundry, or feeding the cat. He takes each duty very seriously and does the best he can, always eager to learn new ways to improve his performance. The trouble is, people remember him for what he was, or they make assumptions based on his seemingly fierce appearance. On the other hand, his past experiences often guide him through the ins and outs of his current situation. When a shyster salesman with a shoddy product calls on him, he is more than happy to demo the man’s product. One of Tatsu’s former men, Masa, is searching for his boss, wondering where he went. A chance encounter at the grocery store reunites them. Masa wants to know why his former boss quit the Yakuza, so Tatsu invites him to take a walk with him.Tatsu is headed out on urgent business. He doesn’t let a chance encounter with members of a rival gang deter him, not when there is a sale in progress! This is a great opportunity to show these yakuza the way of the househusband!Tatsu’s wife, Miku, is crazy about Crime Catch Poli-cure, and is a huge collector. Tatsu plans to surprise her for her birthday with an addition to her collection. On learning that the chairperson of the Women’s Association is coming to his apartment, Tatsu has to prepare, which includes utilizing the automatic floor cleaner, which brings unexpected results.Watching a young boy for a neighbor leads to unexpected complications for Tatsu. Afterward, he teaches some supposedly tough guys about the way of the househusband. While out shopping with Miku one day, Tatsu is dismayed to learn that people find him intimidating. How to change his image? It’s only the first volume of this series, but I’m already in love with it, and am half way through the second volume and have pre-ordered the third. Tatsu, the former Yakuza, is completely adorable. He wears an apron with a shiba on it! He takes everything he does very seriously, determined to do his best. He and Miku are an awesome couple! This series is funny, sweet, romantic, and endearing. I love the artwork. Kousuke Oono does a fabulous job. The covers featuring Tatsu are priceless!I guess you would call this a slice-of-life manga, as there isn’t one plot line but a series of incidents in Tatsu’s life as a househusband. There is a brief glance into how Tatsu was when he met Miku. I’m hoping to see more in a future volume. I want to see what brought these two together, and was she responsible for him quitting the yakuza way of life.I can’t say enough good things about this series. I am looking forward to reading it for a long time to come!
