Try diluting 1:1 if too strong for your taste!
After a trip to Tuscany, my husband and I learned to enjoy the flavor of truffle. After finishing the truffle oil we brought from Italy, we were looking for the product here in the US. We came up with this set and decided to buy it based on the great reviews. However, once we tried both of them, we thought the flavor was too strong and different than the one we had from Italy. After contacting customer service (they were excellent and responded promptly and we were very impressed), they suggested we dilute their product with a good quality extra virgin olive oil. Based on their suggestion, we did a 1:1 ratio and the difference was amazing. It is now very similar to the ones we had back in Italy. So if you don't like this product at first, or think it is too strong for your taste, try diluting it. you might be surprised! Diluting it will also make our set last longer, giving us a even better value for the set.

Tastes like gasoline mixed with truffle flavoring
This truffle oil literally tastes like some sort of product made out of plastic flavoring designed to, in essence, taste like truffle. The truffle flavor is clearly artificial, like not even close to the real thing, and every time i try to give these oils another chance, i am just disgusted with the quality of the flavor. The fact that so many reviewers have been completely duped by this product is really sad, and that includes me. Its generally good reviews will maintain this products sales, of that i am almost certain. But honestly folks, i have worked in professional kitchens for nearly 20 years and this stuff is total and utter B.S. Do yourself a favor (or flavor?) and do not get these oils they literally taste like you are putting some sort of artificial petroleum product in your mouth. Really disappointed!

Awesome purchase! Quality and Quantity!
Not sure if those leaving 1 star have a clue what this product is supposed to taste like. I have used a couple of others that cost twice as much and tasted them side by side and i personally can not taste the difference. That being said they are all wonderful. No bitter taste. Not rancid. Just olive oil infused with truffle. This is very good and priced great! I will be ordering again as soon as thes bottles are empty and that won't be long! A little drizzeled over meat or veggies. Wonderful mixed with your favorite Balsamic Vinegar on a salad!

Sooo delicious!!
Best Truffle oil out there. I got turned on to this by a chef when I went to a cooking class. I tried it at home and was blown away! Whenever I cook with mushrooms, I use just a small amount-you don't need a lot. It totally enhances the flavor of the dish without being overpowering. I was buying the small size and then decided that the larger ones were the best deal for me. You won't be sorry you bought this!

Open the bottle, breathe deep & smile...
I have been searching for a new truffle oil (both black and white) since the company I previously used discontinued their truffle oils. My wait is over! The Truffle Hunter oils are delicious, fragrant and reasonably priced for their quality. I started with the 100ml bottles to test; I've since graduated to the 250ml bottles. The items come packaged well to protect the contents...even when tossed in the box with the rest of your Amazon haul. [For reference: I enjoy Urbani Truffle Oils, but at as much as $12 for a 55ml bottle, I wouldn't be able to feed my habit for truffle oil. If you enjoy Urbani, Tuffle Hunter will serve you well.]

Tasted awful!
I love both black and white truffle oil but this was awful! I tasted both of them the day after I received them and I was shocked. If this was the first time I tasted truffle oil I would hate it but luckily I know that it’s really delicious. I contacted Amazon customer service to let them know how disappointed I was and they credited my account immediately without returning the bottles. I then poured both of the oils down the drain.

Flavor way off, overpowering.
I had another brand of black truffle oil I was really happy with (Leroux) but was curious about white truffle oil so this time I just decided to order this two pack to try both. In this set they contain both Olive oil that has been flavored with truffles (presumably by steeping) as well as extra flavoring added. There is such thing as too much of a good thing. The flavor is overpowering and almost chemical. No bueno. I tried reducing the amount that I put on the cauliflower rice to balance out the flavor but it just never tasted right.

Prefer the white
I'm not crazy about the black truffle oil; the taste is different and weaker than the white. Having never eaten actual truffles I'm unable to comment on the authenticity of the flavor......but I can say, I've been using it on just about everything. Authenticity aside, I love it.Afterthought: If they had a two-pack of the white on offer at a similar discount, that's what I would buy next.
