When I decided to get a shotgun Mic, I was met by hundreds and hundreds of options larger units and smaller units then I came across this Fantaseal unit which initially the sales spec sounded good but I was blown away once it arrived.The Unit comes in a small box that includes :1 x Microphone Unit2 x Cables with 3.5mm connections1x Carry Case1x Mount1x Dead Cat wind noise suppressorWhen I first felt the unit it was exactly the same as the Rode mic which is around 4x the amount, they are practically identical except for a few visual marks. Once I connected it to its mount it was then easily installed on my DSLR using the hot shoe mount and I sit say it looked the part too connectivity is easy too the 3.5mm is normally the standard on most DSLRs and for IPhone you just use the 3.5mm to lightning adapter.Sound quality is amazing it’s like the difference between night and day in a noisy room it picked up me speaking and blocked out the rest of the noise, we even tried this in the windiest weather down at the coast and with the deadcat fitted it blocked out majority of wind noise.So if you are looking for a one for all directional mic then this is your choice it beats all others hands down I’m so impressed with it it’s my go to microphone for all my recordings.

This is a neat little microphone but falls short of what you would expect from a branded manufacturer. Better sound quality that an iPad built in Microphone but build quality a little disappointing, particularly the mounting clip.

I dont really have anything to benchmark this against, but i used this to record some customer testimonials on my x-t2. I couldn't fault the sound - i suspect there are better mic's but this worked a treat for my needs at a good price

Good quality condenser mic that comes with everything you need to go straight into a DSLR or phone for a massive audio upgrade over the built in mic.. even has a little carry pouch to keep it all in.Liked - The fact that you get both a TRS and a TRRS mic lead, so you don't have to buy a separate one for hooking up to to your phone. The 'dead cat' wind shield is a good fit and although pretty huge, totally killed any wind noise when I was filming outside. The actual mic body is metal too, not flimsy plastic.Disliked - The red plastic mount is made from solid plastic so doesn't have the ability to 'float' the mic like an elastic/springy mount would. Really can't moan for the price though and it's a nice tight fit on the mic body itself.

The thing works OK, and the build quality is decent. However the sound quality is bad, which is reflected by the low price. It is only marginally better than the built-in microphone that comes with my Canon EOS M50. As the saying goes: buy cheap, buy twice. Not worth spending any money on, unless you are on a shoe string budget, I will be looking at some higher-end equipment.

The media could not be loaded.  What a brilliant Mic. I have used this Mic with different cameras and mobile devices and it has never let me down. I have used Fantaseal accessories in the past and never had any problems. Good quality products at good prices Very happy with the purchase. Check out the video well worth a look.

This mic volume is too low. I only read recently that you need an interface to adjust the volume unfortunatlely I dont have an interface. Dont recommend

COVID times drove the schools nativity outside and the school is on a mountainside. Microphone needed at short notice to plug into a iPhone 11. I watched some reviews and was a bit sceptical that a decent mic could be bought so cheaply. I filmed the nativity in driving rain and wind. Soaking wet and thoroughly dejected I started to edit together the film. WOW, this little mic did the job like a pro, the sound quality was stunning for the price, sure it’s not going to be studio quality but for the price unbeatable. I’ve had plenty of positive feedback on the sound quality because of this. Highly recommend for anyone who wants a better mic for their phone.
